    Abstract: An auxiliary fan based hybrid cooling system of an electric machine is contemplated. The hybrid cooling system comprises a propeller positioned on an exterior portion of an enclosure and mechanically coupled to a rotor, at least one electronic component, a stator, the rotor, and an auxiliary fan disposed within the enclosure, and wherein: in a single cooling mode, the propeller rotates to generate air that is channeled into the enclosure, in a dual cooling mode: the propeller rotates to generate the air that is channeled into the enclosure, a coupling mechanism simultaneously engages the rotor and the auxiliary fan and links the propeller to the auxiliary fan by the engaging of the rotor with the auxiliary fan, and the auxiliary fan, rotates responsive to the rotation of the propeller in the dual cooling mode.

    Abstract: An active capacitor discharge tool may include circuitry for efficiently discharging a capacitor. The active capacitor discharge tool may include batteries (or regulated voltage sources) for actively discharging a capacitor using multiple discharge paths. The active capacitor discharge tool may alternatively short the capacitor to a ground connection using the multiple discharge paths based on a timing associated with a clock frequency of a clock signal. Discharging a capacitor by alternatively grounding the capacitor using different discharge paths may distribute a generated discharging heat and may discharge the capacitor faster. Moreover, when a capacitor includes stored electrical charges corresponding to a capacitor voltage lower than a sufficiently discharged voltage to enable an operator to handle the capacitor, the active capacitor discharge tool may short an anode and a cathode of the capacitor to discharge the capacitor to the ground connection voltage level.

    Abstract: A throttle-controlled intake system is disclosed that provides a driver of a vehicle with greater control over engine functions and vehicle performance. The throttle-controlled intake system includes a control module that is coupled with an aircharger air intake. The control module processes input signals from a throttle pedal of the vehicle and sends modified throttle position signals to a throttle body of the vehicle so as to increase throttle responsiveness of the vehicle. The throttle-controlled intake system further includes a wiring harness and a signal adjuster. The wiring harness electrically couples the control module with the throttle pedal and the throttle body. The control module sends signals directly to the throttle body of the engine, bypassing an electronic control unit of the vehicle. The signal adjuster includes a rheostat that enables manual adjustment of the throttle responsiveness of the vehicle.

Suitable magnesium anodes, in particular, magnesium foam anodes, can be made by pulsed galvanostatic deposition of magnesium on a copper substrate. The protective layer can be formed by electropolymerization of a suitable methylacrylate ester. The continuous cathode layer can be a slurry cathode having powders of an electronic conductor and a reversible magnesium storage component suspended in a magnesium electrolyte solution.

The nature of the underarm switch also provides other benefits including a disconnect blade that when opened creates a visual gap to ensure electrical discontinuity along with a safety locking arm tied to deactivating the underarm switch. Adding to the safety measures is a visual indicator that shows an electrician when the switch is live and safe to open the disconnect blade. Other safety measures include a shock absorber assembly and inertia slowing mass protecting electrical contacts within the vacuum break switch from failing.
