Abstract: A conveyor system includes at least one conveyor table and an awareness flag mechanism. The awareness flag mechanism includes a support rod mounted to the at least one conveyor table and extending outwardly therefrom in a cross-conveying direction. A counterweight assembly includes a support shaft pivotally connected to the support rod. The support shaft has a resiliently flexible portion. Aa counterweight is located at a lower end of the support shaft. Aa flag is located at an opposite, upper end of the support shaft. The counterweight biases the counterweight assembly toward an upright, awareness configuration where the flag is located above a conveying surface of the at least one conveyor table.

Abstract: A system and method for securing a roof truss to a load bearing wall is disclosed. A strap is attached to a roof truss at one end and extended to the top of a load-bearing wall. A buckle is placed over the strap to secure the strap between the buckle and the roof truss, and also the buckle and the load-bearing wall. The end of the strap is extended along the top of buckle toward the roof truss and a top plate secures the strap between the buckle and the top plate. Screws are placed through holes in the top plate and corresponding holes in the buckle to attach the system to the top of the load-bearing wall. The system and method of the invention provides both horizontal (lateral) resistance and uplift resistance, thus resisting horizontal (lateral) forces while at the same time providing uplift resistance.
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for a drone elimination muffler to attenuate drone exhibited by engine exhaust systems. The drone elimination muffler comprises a hollow canister having a length and a diameter, and a tuned port comprising a first end connected to the canister and a second end connected to the exhaust system. The canister operates in concert with the tuned port as a dampener configured to substantially attenuate exhaust drone, or resonance, at one or more frequencies of engine operation. A valve is configured to switch the drone elimination muffler between a closed state in which the exhaust system operates without acoustic influence due to the drone elimination muffler, and an open state in which the drone elimination muffler directly influences the acoustic properties of the exhaust system.
Abstract: In one embodiment, an electronics assembly includes a cold plate assembly having a first surface, at least one power electronic device disposed within a recess on the first surface of the cold plate assembly, and a printed circuit board disposed on a surface of the at least one power electronic device. The printed circuit board includes a first insulation layer, a second insulation layer, an electrically conductive power layer between the first insulation layer and the second insulation layer, a first set of thermal vias extending from the electrically conductive power layer and toward the first surface of the cold plate assembly, and a second set of thermal vias extending from the first surface of the cold plate assembly toward the electrically conductive power layer. The first set of thermal vias is electrically isolated from the second set of thermal vias.

Abstract: Optical tags provide a way to identify assets quickly and unambiguously, an application relevant to anti-counterfeiting and protection of valuable resources or information. The present invention is directed to a tag fluorophore that encodes multilayer complexity in a family of heterometallic rare-earth metal-organic frameworks (RE-MOFs) based on highly connected polynuclear clusters and carboxylic acid-based linkers. Both overt (visible) and covert (near infrared, NIR) properties with concomitant multi-emissive spectra and tunable luminescence lifetimes impart both intricacy and security. Tag authentication can be validated with a variety of orthogonal detection methodologies. The relationships between structure, composition, and optical properties of the family of RE-MOFs can be used to create a large library of rationally designed, highly complex, difficult to counterfeit optical tags.

Abstract: A coaxially arranged energy storage device suitable for energy storage and structural support for a composite component is provided.
