Each pixel sensor includes a photodetector, a stack of two or more filter layers comprising a given transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD), and one or more transparent glass layers positioned between adjacent filter layers. The stack selectively transmits received radiation to the photodetector based on a transmissivity of the filter layers, the transmissivity being based on a tuning context of the tuner.
