  • Patent number: 10378172
Abstract: The present invention provides a yieldable construction method for early releasing surrounding rock deformation on a weak toppling slope, thereby reducing surrounding rock toppling deformation risk in and after an excavation process and ensuring overall slope stability and safety of a supporting structure. A technical solution of the present invention is as follows: loosing a rock mass through controlled blasting; inducing toppling deformation of the slope by injecting water and softening a blasting relaxation part of the rock mass; determining timing of water injection by monitoring slope surface displacement characteristics of the slope; and performing a normal excavation process of the toppling deformation slope after injecting is completed. The present invention is applicable to design and construction of high slope engineering of a special kind of rocks, i.e., a toppling deformation slope composed of weak rock masses.

  • Patent number: 10375106
Abstract: Described herein are various technologies for providing active mitigation of cyber-attacks against industrial and other control systems. A filtering device is connected to a backplane of a control system and receives communications from various modules of the control system. The filter device analyzes the received communications and determines whether they are genuine and permissible communications for the control system. Validated signals are output to a communications bus of the control system by the filter device, while impermissible communications are blocked. The filter device can be interposed between the modules of the control system and the backplane, or the filter device can be included as a component of a control system backplane.

  • Patent number: 10371229
Abstract: An adjustable vibration isolator for limiting transfer of vibrations from a first element to a second element coupled to the first element. The isolator includes conical disc spring members, each having a first end including a central opening, a central axis, and a second end opposite the first end. The second end includes an outer edge of the spring member. A spacer is coupled to each spring member so as to enable a transfer of forces between the spring member and the spacer. Spring member deflection resistance mechanisms are operable to adjustably resist movement of the outer edges of the spring members in directions radially outwardly during loading of the spring members. Resistance of movement of the outer edges of the spring members enables control of a force required to deflect the spring members, and control of the force-deflection curve of the vibration isolator.
