  • Patent number: 9377788
Abstract: A flamer may be used to sterilize poultry litter, soil, concrete, etc. The stationary or mobile flamer disclosed comprises a hood to contain the heat, an external frame, and burners. A fuel tank may be carried on the flamer or on a tractor. An additional embodiment provides for mounting the flamer on wheels, permitting the unit to be towed by a truck, four-wheeler, tractor, etc. The burners are adjustable as to angle, and fueling rate. A pressure in the fuel system is controlled by selectively switching between the liquid and vaporous components of the fuel. • Patent number: 9379806
Abstract: In one implementation, a minimum metric function with an output representing a metric of a satisfaction of transmission requirements for a satellite communications system configured to produce at least two beams may be generated. The minimum metric function may be a function of beam weight parameters including a first and second set of beam weight parameters representing output signals of high power amplifiers used to form a first and second beam, respectively. An output value of the minimum metric function may be calculated using initial values for the beam weight parameters. A direction to modify the values of the beam weight parameters may be determined based on the calculated output value. Updated values of the beam weight parameters may be determined based on maximizing the output value of the minimum metric function by moving the values of the beam weight parameters in the determined direction.

  • Patent number: 9378986
Abstract: Provided is a method of mounting a chip. The method includes: forming a bump at one surface of a cavity formed concavely in an inner direction of a substrate; performing a coining process to flatten a surface of the bump; coating a solder material on the bump subjected to the coining process; and bonding a chip and the bump by melting the solder material, wherein an electrode portion or a metal portion is formed on a bottom of the chip. For a metal substrate according to the present invention, wherein a vertical insulating layer is included, since the electrode portion of the chip and the electrode portion of the substrate have to be electrically connected, the metal substrate is bonded to the electrode portion of the chip using the bump additionally formed on the metal substrate, so the heat generated in the chip can be rapidly transferred to the substrate, and the junction temperature of the chip can be decreased, thereby enhancing the light efficiency and the.

  • Patent number: 9379535
Abstract: A system for reducing inrush current in a three phase utility transformer upon energization of the transformer by an applied three phase voltage utilizes a pre-flux circuit for establishing residual flux levels in the core segments of the primary windings of the transformer which are near the prospective flux levels established in the core segments by the applied voltage. The pre-flux circuit includes a pre-fluxing capacitor which, after being charged to a predetermined voltage level, is discharged serially through two of the primary windings to establish the predetermined flux levels in the core segments of the two windings, and a reduced flux level in the core segment of the remaining primary winding. The transformer is energized at the instant of positively-referenced peak phase voltage to the third primary winding such that prospective and residual flux approach a near-equal level in all three core segments and inrush current is reduced.
