Patent number: 10250744Abstract: A call and recorded information management server transmits a requested call identification ID for recognition and an incoming call number corresponding to the ID, to a voice recognition server, which searches for the recognition engine corresponding to the number of the received call, and adds the received ID to a recognition queue. The voice recognition server requests the call and recorded information management server to obtain recorded data by the received ID. The call and recorded information management server transfers the recorded data corresponding to the ID to the voice recognition server to perform voice recognition by the corresponding recognition engine on the recorded data corresponding to the call identification ID stored in the recognition queue, and stores the result as text data. Thus, the most appropriate voice recognition engine can be used and the recognition rate of voice recognition can be increased.Type: GrantFiled: October 4, 2016Date of Patent: April 2, 2019Assignee: Hitachi Information & Telecommunication Engineering, Ltd.Inventors: Takashi Sugiyama, Jumpei Yamaguchi, Yo Naka, Taketoshi Kurihana

Patent number: 10245970Abstract: A variable power drive mode system for a vehicle. The system includes a pedal, a processor, an engine or other vehicle power source for moving the vehicle and a battery. The processor of the vehicle determines, either automatically or based upon user input, a desired drive mode for the vehicle. A memory connected with the processor stores different data corresponding to the different drive modes determinable by the processor for the vehicle. The processor uses the different data stored in memory in combination with a position of the pedal to control the engine or other vehicle power source to generate power in accordance with the determined drive mode. Certain drive modes may provide for more aggressive driving profiles at the expense of fuel efficiency or fuel consumption when compared to other drive modes.Type: GrantFiled: August 24, 2016Date of Patent: April 2, 2019Assignee: TOYOTA MOTOR ENGINEERING & MANUFACTURING NORTH AMERICA, INC.Inventors: Christopher Gregg, Hidetoshi Kusumi

Patent number: 10246790Abstract: The invention relates to electrowinning of aluminum from cryolite-alumina melts, and can be used in the shunt design of a cathode assembly. In an aluminum electrolysis cell, cathode vertical metal shunts, are designed such that their top part is melted aluminum, and the bottom part is solid aluminum. Shunts are located in conduits made in a hearth slab lining which has a widening in the middle part which is wider than both parts of the shunts. The widening in the shunt conduit can be filled with a composite material, i.e. titanium diboride-carbon. The shunts can be designed as a tube, and the widening in the conduit and the space inside the tube can be filled with the composite material titanium diboride-carbon. The invention makes it possible to increase the electrical efficiency due to the absence of contact assemblies, reduced current loss, and achieving an effective current distribution and current shunting.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2012Date of Patent: April 2, 2019Assignee: United Company Rusal Engineering and Technology Centre LLCInventors: Aleksandr Olegovich Gusev, Aleksey Gennad'evich Burtsev, Dmitriy Aleksandrovich Simakov, Aleksandr Leonidovich Voynich, Aleksandr Yur'evich Kolmakov

Patent number: 10247750Abstract: The present invention provides an online measuring method of particle (such as bubbles, droplets and solid particles) velocity in multiphase reactor. The method based on an online multiphase measuring instrument includes the following steps: (1) the online multiphase measuring instrument is placed into the multiphase reactor, and then a particle image produced by two or more exposures are obtained; (2) the actual size of individual pixel in the particle image is determined; (3) valid particles are determined in the depth of field; (4) then the centroid coordinates are conversed to the actual length of the coordinates (xt,i, yt,i) and (xt+?t,i, yt+?t,i) using the actual size of individual pixel. Thus, the instantaneous velocity of particles can be calculated by V i = ( x t + ? ? ? t , i - x t , i ) 2 + ( y t + ? ? ? t , i - y t , i ) 2 ? ? ? t .Type: GrantFiled: December 5, 2016Date of Patent: April 2, 2019Assignees: INSTITUTE OF PROCESS ENGINEERING, CHINESE ACADEMY OF SCIENCES, NANJING JIUZHANG CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD.Inventors: Chao Yang, Xiangyang Li, Haoliang Wang, Guanqi Wang, Zaisha Mao

Publication number: 20190094292Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to systems and methods for monitoring traveling waves in an electric power system. In various embodiments, a data acquisition subsystem may acquire electric power system signals. A traveling wave detection subsystem may detect two or more traveling waves based on the electric power system signals and determine a location of an event triggering the traveling waves. A traveling wave security subsystem may selectively generate a restraining signal based on the location of the event as within a blocking zone. A protection action subsystem may implement a protective action when the location is outside of a blocking zone. In various embodiments, a protective action will not be implemented for traveling waves launched from known locations of switching devices operating normally. Further, protective actions may be restrained if a magnitude of a traveling wave differs from an expected value based on a pre-fault voltage.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 20, 2018Publication date: March 28, 2019Applicant: Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc.Inventors: Edmund O.
