  • Patent number: 10005413
Abstract: A front grille assembly for a vehicle includes a grille deflector that allows air to flow therethrough into an engine compartment of the vehicle. A grille frame supports the grille deflector at a front of the vehicle. An air flow director fin is located on the grille frame and rearward of the grille deflector. The air flow director fin modifies a flow direction of air entering the engine compartment from an unmodified flow direction without the air flow director fin to a modified flow direction toward a region of a transmission cooler of the vehicle.

Abstract: A magnetic retractable line divider may include at least a reel assembly having a shell, and a magnetic portion is installed thereon. An elastic line divider belt is wound on the reel assembly, and a magnetic member is connected to a lateral end of the line divider belt. The line divider belt is configured to be horizontally pulled out from the reel assembly and travel a preferred distance to attach to a magnetic object, thus achieving line divider effect. Moreover, when someone pushes against the line divider belt with or over a preferred force, the magnetic member is configured to be detached from the magnetic object and automatically retracted into the reel assembly, thus avoiding accident.

Abstract: A combined mass airflow sensor and hydrocarbon trap is provided for absorbing evaporative hydrocarbon emissions from an air intake duct of an internal combustion engine. The combined mass airflow sensor and hydrocarbon trap comprises a duct that supports a hydrocarbon absorbing sheet in an unfolded configuration within a housing. The duct communicates an airstream from an air filter to the air intake duct during operation of the internal combustion engine. An opening in the housing receives a mass airflow sensor into the duct, such that the mass airflow sensor is disposed within the airstream. Guide vanes extending across the duct reduce air turbulence within the airstream passing by the mass airflow sensor. Ports disposed along the duct allow the evaporative hydrocarbon emissions to be drawn into the interior and arrested by the hydrocarbon absorbing sheet when the internal combustion engine is not operating.

Abstract: A fluid valve damper is provided with a core, body and a valve. The body houses a fluid and a portion of the core. The valve is rotationally attached to the core and may include at least one wing shaped to mate with at least one lip of the core. The valve is disposed between the core and the body. The core may rotate: (1) in a first direction to create a passage between the lip of the valve and the wing of the core for fluid to flow therethrough, and (2) in a second direction so that the wing of the core contacts and mates with the lip of the valve so that further rotation of the core in the second direction forces the core and the valve to rotate together while disallowing fluid to flow between the passage.
