Abstract: A vehicular sensing system, a vehicle and a method of performing one or both of vehicular mapping and navigating operations using the sensing system. The sensing system is secured to a roof or other suitable location on the vehicle and includes one or more sensors configured to acquire at least one of vehicular mapping and navigational data, a retractable mounting structure to move the sensor or sensors between a deployed and stowed position, and an aerodynamic spoiler, air dam or deflector. The body of the spoiler acts as a housing with a recess formed in its upper surface such that upon placement of the spoiler on the roof, the recess provides a location within the spoiler to permit storage of the mounting structure and sensors when they are in their deployed (non data-acquisition) mode of operation. The size and placement of the mounting structure and sensors is such that they do not detract from the aerodynamic or aesthetic qualities of the spoiler.

  • Patent number: 9850142
Abstract: A method and device are provided for purifying and recycling water vapor from a coal drying process. Included are a temperature-lowering and dehumidifying process, a flash distillation stripping process, and a vacuum condensing process. A condensing tower receives a temperature-lowered exhaust gas with high humidity from a cooling tube and a condensed water of 5˜60° C. from a flash distillation tank, allowing the exhaust gas and the condensed water to contact each other in a vapor-liquid reverse manner, to lower the temperature and dehumidify the exhaust gas. The flash distillation tank performs a vacuum flash distillation to the condensing water pumped therein from the condensing tower. Water vapor of 5˜60° C. evaporated through flash distillation in the flash distillation tank enters into the demisting washer to be dehumidified and then is condensed. The condensed water in the vapor condenser is transferred into a recycled water tank. Non-condensable gas is discharged out.

  • Patent number: 9850434
Abstract: A method of predicting the tendency of a heavy oil feed to generate coke deposits in the FCC riser under a given set of operating parameters in the unit; thus, by utilizing operating parameters appropriate to the feed, the formation of coke deposits in the riser may be minimized. The margin between the theoretical dew point of the hydrocarbon feed established from unit operating parameters and the theoretical mix zone temperature in the feed injection zone of the unit is developed by applying a regression-derived linear model from multiple rigorous model runs. The mix zone of the unit is then operated at a temperature which reduces the level of riser coking predicted from this ascertainable margin or, at least, maintains it within levels which are predictable and acceptable.
