Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for removing interference from received signals. An interference control signal may be generated in a transceiver during transmission and reception of signals. The interference control signal may be generated based on a first interference control input corresponding to an input signal used in generating the transmitted signals, and a second interference control input corresponding to a model of a leakage of the transmitted signals onto the received signals. The model may be based on a first approximation of a transfer function for the leakage. The interference control signal may be combined with an intermediate signal generated during processing of the received signals, to generate a corresponding combined signal, and the combined signal may be applied during processing of the received signals.

  • Patent number: 9462295
Abstract: The invention relates to manipulation of sub-pictures (303) in a picture such as a mosaic screen (301). An apparatus comprises a sub-picture generator (105) connected to a mosaic screen generator (107), which generates the mosaic screen (301) from the sub-pictures. The mosaic screen (301) is by a video compressor (111) divided into uncompressed picture blocks such that each block only comprise video data from one sub-picture. The picture blocks are compressed using a block compression scheme such as MPEG-2. The apparatus further comprises a video manipulation processor (113), which manipulates the sub-pictures by manipulating the association between control data in the video signal and the compressed picture blocks. The video data of the compressed picture blocks are not affected whereby de-compression and new compression is avoided.

  • Publication number: 20160254841
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for synchronizing multiple channels in an access network, where the multiple channels are neighboring channels such that a guard band between them or use of a diplexer to prevent inter-channel interference is not required. Synchronization is achieved by defining channel MAP (media access plan) cycle structures such that all channels work in the same direction (upstream US or downstream DS) at any given time. Moreover, the network controller of channel may send out a beacon to allow new nodes to join. A long MAP cycle (402) may be followed by three consecutive regular MAP cycles (404, 406), and (408). These MAP cycles are repeated between beacon transmissions. Synchronization allows multiple channels to be configured contiguous (without a guard band between neighbouring channels) and without utilizing diplexers. A plurality of customer premises equipment may operate on each of the communications channels.
