A communication channel is associated with the information object that is configurable to route communications to a manager assigned to the information object. A party is enabled to obtain management of the information object for a time period. The communication channel is configured to route to the party requests that are made by interacting with the information object during the time period. A plurality of users is enabled to interact with the information object during the time period to input requests to the party over the communication channel.

Abstract: An apparatus for facilitating instant messaging communications between clients of different instant messaging service provider networks is provided. The apparatus includes translation logic for translating received communications related to an instant messaging service, the received communications associated with an external instant messaging service provider network and formatted according to a secondary protocol. The translation logic translates the received communication from the secondary protocol to a primary protocol, the primary protocol native to a receiving service provider network. The communication may then be routed to a client of the primary network according to the native, primary protocol.

Abstract: A method of targeting receives several granular events and preprocesses the received granular events thereby generating preprocessed data to facilitate construction of a model based on the granular events. The method generates a predictive model by using the preprocessed data. The predictive model is for determining a likelihood of a user action. The method trains the predictive model. A system for targeting includes granular events, a preprocessor for receiving the granular events, a model generator, and a model. The preprocessor has one or more modules for at least one of pruning, aggregation, clustering, and/or filtering. The model generator is for constructing a model based on the granular events, and the model is for determining a likelihood of a user action. The system of some embodiments further includes several users, a selector for selecting a particular set of users from among the several users, a trained model, and a scoring module.

Abstract: A method is disclosed which provides for multicasting video of an event, thereby allowing geographically dispersed members of a user's social network to experience a user's current locale, so that the user's friends may join him via live video at events (concerts, clubs, or other venues) which they cannot attend in person. The method includes the steps of enabling transmission of an invitation to at least one selected individual; processing an acceptance of the invitation; processing a live video signal of the event; storing the signal in a streaming database; and outputting a video stream in accordance with the acceptance. The outputting may be performed in real time. The processing of the live video signal may also include caching the video signal, so that the event may be viewed other than in real time.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for displaying search results upon the occurrence or detection of an event and/or time-delay. The present provides a user with the ability to view search results upon satisfaction of an event trigger or specified time delay (e.g., a rule). The disclosed systems and methods enable features that allow a user to link a search query and/or a set or sets of results for the search query to a trigger, whereby upon detection and satisfaction of such trigger, the search (and/or related results) are displayed. Such trigger can be associated with, but not limited to, a calendar event, to-do list item, location, a product or contact person, among other types of event based information events.

Abstract: A data processing system employs a pre-processing step to create a simplified view of a received entity graph. During the pre-processing step, only the objects and the attributes of those objects within the graph that are required for data processing are selected. Pruned source and target objects are generated by omitting those attributes that are not required for processing. The pruned objects are included in the simplified view that enhances system performance.

Abstract: The present invention provides methods and systems for use in advertising campaigns and advertisement targeting. Techniques are provided in which streams of data, including communications data, are sampled, such as during transmission to intended recipients. Sampled data may be analyzed and used to determine topics of interest. Sampled data may be analyzed or filtered to determine data suspected of being of particular significance or relevance in determining topics of interest. Determined topics of interest may be used in advertisement targeting as part of an advertising campaign.

Abstract: The present invention provides techniques for use in association with online advertising, relating to use of serving thresholds, associated with predicted click through rates, and delivery policies, associated with advertising inventory serving and distribution. An offline-trained machine learning-based model may be utilized in advertising serving decision-making in connection with serving opportunities. However, serving thresholds and delivery policies, for use in association with the model in serving decision-making, may be adjusted online, such as in real-time or near real-time, based on information obtained online affecting factors such as predicted click through rates and advertising inventory distribution.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a data synchronization between a client computing device's local store and another data store, such as a data store that is remote to the client computing device. The other data store may comprise a cloud data store. The existence, or absence, of a causal relationship between the local and remote data stores for a given data item is used to determine whether or not a conflict exists and/or whether a requested operation may be performed. The causal relationship may be determined using a previous commit's hash value, referred to as a hash_base value, and a hash value, both of which are associated with the data item.

Abstract: Techniques are provided which facilitate mobile applications displaying advertisements on a larger screen space without worrying about screen clutter or interference with application functionality. Motion events are triggered once a computerized device detects a threshold magnitude of tilt along a first, second, and/or third coordinate axis. A graphical display is presented to the user which includes at least one advertisement. Several embodiments of the graphical display include a three-dimensional object and full-screen display which are maintained so long as a magnitude of tilt of the computerized device is detected.

Abstract: A system for recommending feeds for a user comprises a client with a web browser, an application server, and a content server. The browser tracks the user's browsing activity and transmits user data related to the user's browsing activity to the application server. The application server searches the content server to determine feeds that may be relevant to the user's browsing activity and then communicates those feeds to the browser. The browser displays the received feeds to the user as feed recommendations, prompting the user to select from among the recommended feeds. Once the user has selected one or more feeds, the browser transmits the user's selection to the application server, which enables the feeds to be presented subsequently to the user. In this way, the system uses the user's browsing activity to obtain automatically for a user feeds that are likely to be relevant to the user.

The interface may be configured to receive a signal that may include one or more user-selected frames of video content. The server then searches a map information database for predetermined map information and transmits searched map information to the terminal. From the terminal, the server receives an advertisement contents registration request having advertisement information identifying one or more of the plurality of lattice units. Abstract: A method and network architecture through which user-specific media profile data can be made available to third parties. A browser is optionally enhanced to facilitate playback and control of one or more media players, thereby allowing the user to play content via the browser. As the user plays content in the browser or any of the media players, information is collected about the content and stored in a database. By monitoring all media-related interactions made by the user within the browser, the collected content information can encompass information from a wide range of sources. User-specific profile data is then determined based on the collected data and such user-specific profile data is made available to third parties. The user-specific profile data can be used, for example, for social networking purposes, and may also be used to drive advertisements or other content to the user.

Abstract: Techniques are provided that include generating a single script block for placement at a single location on an HTML document in response to a creation of one or more ad units for the HTML document, the single script block including one or more section codes that correspond to one or more content blocks of the HTML document. A syndication script for obtaining logic and metadata is generated for injecting native advertisements in the HTML document based on the one or more section codes. The syndication script is provided in response to a request generated by the single script block, and one or more native advertisements are provided in response to an ad call generated by the syndication script, the one or more native advertisements for injection in the one or more content blocks of the HTML document based on the logic and metadata.
