Abstract: Methods and systems for managing pricing guarantees for prescription drugs are described. In one embodiment, a designation of a pharmacy within a pharmacy network may be received as a preferred pharmacy designation. The preferred pharmacy designation may be associated with a member. A set of preferred pharmacy benefits may be associated with the member and the preferred pharmacy designation. A pharmacy claim associated with the preferred pharmacy designation for a prescription for the member may be adjudicated based on the set of preferred pharmacy benefits. Other methods and systems are described.

Abstract: A system and method of distributing pharmaceutical prescriptions within a network of pharmacies based on the review of prescription claim data and patient medical state to enable stratification of patients, wherein each pharmacy within the network has been established to handle one or more particular patient medical states.

Abstract: A system comprising a holding area, a manual section, a distribution section, and at least one conveyor. The manual section may include a handling area enabled for pill counting, pharmacist verification, exception handling, or combinations thereof. The distribution section may be disposed proximate the handling area and the manual section, and may include a robot and a scanner. The at least one conveyor may enable transportation of a container between said distribution section and said manual section. The robot may be adapted to pick a container from the holding area and move the container to the scanner for scanning. The robot may also be further adapted to place the container onto the conveyor to direct the container to a handling area which is enabled for an action based on the scan.

Abstract: A pharmaceutical filling system for a high volume pharmacy is described. The system can include a manual pick/pack device and method. The system may include a rotation assembly, a left door and a right door, both positioned below the rotation assembly, a left divider positioned below the left door, and a right divider positioned below the right door, and a left gathering table positioned below the left divider, and a right gathering table positioned below the right divider. The system may also include a control device in electronic communication with the rotation assembly, the doors and the dividers for control of same.

Abstract: Methods and systems for risk assessment and adjustment are described. In one embodiment, a patient-level risk score associated with a patient is calculated. A plan-level average risk score associated with a benefit plan is calculated. The patient is a member of the benefit plan. A missing diagnosis code associated with the patient is identified based on medical claims history of the patient, historical prescription drug claims of the patient, and a drug marker. A revised patient-score associated with the patient is calculated based on identification of the missing diagnosis code. Additional methods and systems are disclosed.

The system may include a paper collator with at one selectively openable shelf. A control device may monitor the capacity of the selectively openable shelf, and instruct a printer to hold printing additional print jobs. The selectively openable shelf may then be opened to allow the printed literature resting thereon to fall to a lower shelf, and the printer can then be restarted. Sheets of printed literature may be drawn from the paper collator, collected with any other sheets of printed literature associated with a prescription order, and mated with the prescription order for shipment.

Abstract: A prescription handling system that takes filled prescription containers in an automated pharmacy and places them into a package for shipment is described. The handling system includes an inflow to feed containers to a turntable and a robot moves containers from the turntable to a container placement section, which places the containers in a pocket of a package for shipping. Each container for a prescription order is tracked to ensure that only associated containers are packaged together.

Abstract: Methods and systems for analyzing software development risks are described. In one embodiment, a plurality of risk factor questions associated with a software development process of a software program during a software development stage in which the software program is being created or will be created are generated. A plurality of risk factor responses associated with the software development process of the software program is received. A plurality of risk factors with a plurality of risk factor models and a plurality of risk factor weightings is respectively associated. The plurality of risk factors are totaled in combination with their respective association of the plurality of risk factor models and the plurality of risk factor weightings to generate a predicted number of expected software development defects associated with continued development of the software program. The holding section is adapted to hold the container during manual handling. The distribution section is adjacent the holding section and includes a robot adapted to select and pick containers from the holding section. The robot is disposed to distribute the container. The manual section is disposed adjacent the conveyor. The manual section is adapted for inspection or filling of the container. Additional methods and systems are disclosed.

Abstract: A pharmaceutical filling system for a high volume pharmacy is described. The system can include a spill detection subsystem and method. The system can include a cameras to take images that a processed to determine presence of a spilled pharmaceutical. A mirror portion is provided so that the camera can take images of the entire field of the filling area. The mirror portion can be a concave mirror that increases the field of view of the camera. A light panel can illuminate the field of view to allow the camera to take high speed images. A controller can receive a series of at least two images captured by the camera and determine whether an object in the captured images is a spilled pharmaceutical.

Abstract: Method and systems for product inventory are described. In one embodiment, an inventory surface unit retains a plurality of products in an unordered state. An inventory identification unit acquires information for an orientation, and location of the plurality of products on the inventory surface unit. The inventory identification unit is disposed above the inventory surface unit. An inventory pick unit is adapted to pick a product among the plurality of products from the inventory surface unit based on the orientation and location acquired by the inventory identification unit. The inventory pick unit is disposed proximal the inventory surface unit, and the inventory pick unit is communicatively connected to the inventory identification unit. Abstract: Methods and systems for rebate modeling are described. In an embodiment, a formulary of a plan sponsor is accessed. Prescription drug utilization data is accessed. Drug pricing information is accessed. Benefit design including co-pay structure of the plan sponsor is accessed. A plan sponsor rebate for a drug classification is calculated. An alternate plan sponsor rebate is calculated based on a formulary modification, a benefit design modification, or both the formulary modification and the benefit design modification. A difference between the plan sponsor rebate and alternate plan sponsor rebate is determined. A display is generated based on a determination of the difference. Abstract: A system comprising a staging area and a packing area. The staging area may include a plurality of staging bins and a shuttle moveable along the plurality of staging bins. A staging bin of the plurality of staging bins may be configured to selectively retain a component of an order therein. Such staging bin may be configured to selectively release the component to the shuttle. The packing area may include a slide, a scanner, and a wrap seal conveyor. The shuttle may be configured to release the component onto the slide, and the scanner may be operable to scan and verify the component during placement of the component onto the wrap seal conveyor.

Abstract: Methods and systems for mosaic rendering are described. In some embodiments, an image featuring a person is received. A message associated with the person is received. A mosaic rendering scheme is modified to create a modified mosaic rendering scheme including the image based on receipt of the image and the message. A mosaic display is rendered including the image and the plurality of additional images based on the modified mosaic rendering scheme, the mosaic display including the image and the plurality of additional images in a display pattern in which each image is adjacent to at least one other image. A user inquiry is detected relative to the mosaic display in proximity to the image. A message display is generated including the message based on detection of the user inquiry.
