Abstract: An air filter, in particular for cleaning the combustion air for internal combustion engines, having a cylindrical housing provided with an unfiltered air inlet and with a clean air outlet mounted substantially concentrically on one of the axial end faces of the housing. An extension tube, which extends into the housing, is provided at the clean air outlet; a center tube, which extends into the housing, is secured to the inner wall of the extension tube, and a metal-free filter insert is slid onto the center tube. The filter insert has a radial packing on its end face which faces the extension tube, and the opposite end face of the insert is closed. The radial packing is provided with a sealing bead which is freely movable in the radial direction. A metal-free safety cartridge optionally may be arranged inside the center tube.

Abstract: A system for measuring the content of foreign substances in a gas stream, for example oil in a stream of compressed air. The system includes at least one probe for collecting a given amount of gas. In the probe there is at least one sensor over which the sampled gas is passed. For optimum evaluation and for signaling certain states of operation, the sensor includes a temperature sensor for determining the temperature of the gas sample flowing past it, and a detector whose electrical resistivity or conductivity depends on the nature and density of the foreign substances in the gas. The output signal of the detector corresponds to the concentration of foreign substance in the gas stream, and is processed in an electronic evaluation unit.

Abstract: An air filter, particularly for the intake air of an internal-combustion engine, including a housing 13, an air filter insert 16 arranged in the housing, and a cover 10 closing off the housing 13. The air filter insert 16 is essentially a rectangular cartridge which has a surrounding seal 18. This seal 18 is clamped in between the housing 13 and the cover 10 in such a manner that it separates the unfiltered-air space from the filtered-air space. In addition, clamps 19 are provided which fasten the cover and the housing to each other and the filter cartridge is simultaneously secured in the housing. Direct supporting contact between the cover 10 and the housing 13 occurs only adjacent the clamps 19, and simultaneously the seal has a very low Shore hardness. As a result, the cover no longer rests as previously on the housing over the whole length of the seal, but only in the area of the clamps.

Abstract: A container or hopper with a flexible weigh container as an inner member, in which the weigh container is supported through at least one weigh cell on a frame. In order to weigh-in a material to be proportioned, a throttling device is provided at the bottom end of the weigh container. To avoid complicated distributing arrangements and assure precise dosing, the flexible weigh container extends further downwardly like a hose through the throttling device and its bottom is attached to a movable spout which in turn is displaceable in such a manner that the flexible, hose-like extension of the weigh container is carried along with it so as to selectively discharge through different outlets of the container or hopper.

Abstract: A filter for cleaning lubricating oil of an internal combustion engine has a filter housing with an access opening on an upper side to insert and remove filter elements. A cover is arranged to close the access opening. The housing has an inlet opening for dirty fluid and an outlet opening for clean fluid. Furthermore, a drain opening is provided in the housing which can be opened and closed with a closure element. The closure element is operationally coupled to the cover such that when the cover is closed, the closure element closes the drain opening, and when the cover is opened, the closure element opens the drain opening, allowing the fluid to drain out of the housing.

Abstract: A fluid filter, particularly for cleaning lubricating oil for internal-combustion engines of motor vehicles, which includes a filter housing 10 with a screw cap 11 and an annular filter element 12 inserted into the filter housing 10. The filter element 12 is pushed onto a supporting tube 15, which in turn is locked to the cap 11 or the bottom of the filter housing 10. Arranged on the cap or on the bottom are detent tongues 18 which engage with detent tongues 20 of the supporting tube 1B. Guiding surfaces 21 are provided for the detent tongues of at least one element.

Abstract: A filter insert and a method for producing the same in which the filter insert has an accordion-folded filter medium. In a first operating step, folded edges are impressed on the filter medium. Subsequently, by glue application devices which are provided with glue application nozzles, at least two glue beads are applied to the surface of the filter medium and the folding is carried out subsequently. At least one of the glue application devices is movable transversely to the transport direction of the filter medium.
