Patent number: 5909709Abstract: A stackable stamp assembly used to form images on a surface includes a substantially congruent and releasably engageable base, intermediate members, and cover assembly. A stamp is attached to each of the intermediate members. The intermediate members are dish-shaped so that the stamp of an upper member is received within the member disposed immediately below when the members are stacked one on top of the other. The assembly may also includes ways to facilitate the alignment of the assembly with the surface on which an imprint of the stamp is to be made.Type: GrantFiled: August 14, 1997Date of Patent: June 8, 1999Assignee: Fiskars Inc.Inventors: Suk Ku An, Norman D. Patent number: 5906517Abstract: An electrical connector includes a base, a contact housing plate and a cover. The contact housing plate is coupled to the base and includes an electrical receptacle which is adapted to engage an electrical plug. The cover is also coupled to the base and overlies the contact housing plate. The cover has an inclined surface which extends toward the base and an opening therein forming a recess for receiving the electrical plug that is engageable with the electrical receptacle. The electrical connector may further include a plurality of electrical receptacles and openings for receiving multiple electrical plugs. The electrical connector may also include a circuit board which may contain an on/off switch and a circuit breaker with surge suppression. In addition, the plug of the power cord for the electrical connector may contain a built-in GFCI circuit.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 1997Date of Patent: May 25, 1999Assignee: Fiskars Inc.Inventors: John J. Crane, Walter Millard Bailey

Patent number: 5899761Abstract: An electrical connector includes a base, a contact housing plate and a cover. The cover also includes a lid, which is movable between an open position and a closed position. When the lid is in the open position, the contact housing plate is exposed, facilitating access to the electrical receptacle. When the lid is in the closed position, the lid protects the electrical plug from debris and dislodgement from the electrical receptacle. The electrical connector may further include a plurality of electrical receptacles and openings for receiving multiple electrical plugs.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 1998Date of Patent: May 4, 1999Assignee: Fiskars Inc.Inventors: John J. Crane, Walter M. Bailey

Patent number: 5848473Abstract: A reciprocating saw blade comprises an elongated substantially flat body having a tang end and a distal tip end, a back edge and a spaced apart cutting edge. The cutting edge is formed of first and second pluralities of alternately and oppositely facing slicing teeth which define gullets formed therebetween. The first plurality of the slicing teeth extends from the one end and merges into the second plurality of the slicing teeth which extends to the other end. Each slicing tooth includes a slicing face facing one end, a planing face facing the other end, and a tip including an uppermost planar surface. The tips of the second plurality of teeth are substantially tangent to a first tooth tip tangent line. Each tip surface of the second plurality of teeth lies at a greater angle to the first tip tangent line than the tip surface of the first plurality of teeth. A method of making a reciprocating saw blade in accordance with the present invention is also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 1997Date of Patent: December 15, 1998Assignee: Fiskars Inc.Inventor: Lloyd W. Brandenburg, Jr.

Patent number: 5802942Abstract: A paper trimmer includes a base and a plate pivotally attached to the base. A carrier is slidably attached to the plate in an elongated slot. A blade assembly includes a blade secured to a blade holder. The blade assembly is received in a cavity formed in the carrier such that a cutting edge of the blade extends below the plate and is received within a channel formed in a cutting region of the base when the plate is disposed over the cutting region. A paper is cut by translation of the carrier along the slot of the plate.Type: GrantFiled: October 10, 1995Date of Patent: September 8, 1998Assignee: Fiskars Inc.Inventors: Robert W.
