Abstract: A camera module including a housing with embedded conductive traces that allow for an increase in usable surface area of a corresponding printed circuit board (PCB) or multi-layer substrate, a reduced overall thickness of the module, a reduction in tilt management of a lens element of the module, and a facilitation in alignment of the lens element relative to the image sensor. An image sensor is electrically interconnected to first portions of the conductive traces by way of a flip chip process, and then the housing may be mounted over the PCB so that second portions of the conductive traces interconnect with corresponding conductive pads on the PCB to electrically interconnect the image sensor die to the PCB. In one arrangement, another die may be electrically interconnected to the PCB so that as assembled, the die is disposed between the image sensor and the PCB.
Abstract: The present disclosure describes a microprocessor executable installation supervisor operable to determine, for a selected computational component to be installed in the vehicle, whether the selected computational component satisfies a requirement and/or restriction associated with the selected computational component, when installed, and, when the selected computational component can satisfy the requirement and/or restriction, create a set of data structures in the selected computational component and/or a computer readable medium on board the vehicle to bind the selected computational component to the vehicle.
Abstract: A distributed image/video processing system is disclosed herein wherein one or more of digital image/video recorders (e.g., a digital cameras, video recorders, or smart phones, etc.) are in network communication with central network site for transmitting image or video data thereto. The recorders process their image/video data dependent upon an estimate of a measurement of network bandwidth that is available for transmitting image or video data to the central network site.
Abstract: A pulse scheme is used for load change detection in a switching mode power supply with low no-load power consumption. The pulse scheme includes a measurement pulse for determining a load condition or a no-load condition at the output. Generation of the measurement pulse results in sufficient energy transfer to the secondary side to accurately measure the output voltage via a reflected voltage on the primary side. Once in no-load operation mode, a reference pulse having a lower energy transfer than the measurement pulse is used to determine a baseline reflected voltage value that corresponds to a no-load condition. Successive detection pulses are then generated and corresponding reflected voltage measured and compared to the baseline reflected voltage. A change in the reflected value that exceeds a threshold value is indicative of a change in the no-load condition.
Abstract: A system and method for determining the efficient number of reference frames which are to be evaluated for an image using frame level adaptation techniques. The system and method determines and updates the number of reference frames which are to be searched based on the reference frame selection statistics of the previously coded frame. Preferably, the invention increases the number of reference frames to be referred when a first desired ratio of blocks refer to the furthest reference frame. The invention decreases the number of reference frames if a second desired ratio of blocks refer to the furthest reference frame. The motion value is considered in increasing the number of reference frames. The invention evaluates whether portions of the image frames are static, thereby terminating motion vector searches on that portion.
Abstract: Methods and systems for a complete vehicle ecosystem are provided. Specifically, systems that when taken alone, or together, provide an individual or group of individuals with an intuitive and comfortable vehicular environment. The present disclosure builds on integrating existing technology with new devices, methods, and systems to provide a complete vehicle ecosystem.
Abstract: A solar cell module comprises a solar cell soldered to a mounting element, such as a ceramic substrate. The solder bond can comprise a void. A method of reducing a solder void comprises reflowing the solder using a vacuum source and a heat source in a sealed chamber. The chamber is formed, at least in part, by a cowling into which the solar cell module is mounted. A system for reducing voids in a solder bond comprises a heat source and a vacuum source coupled to the sealed chamber into which a solar cell module is placed. The system can optionally include a control system that automates the execution of methods of reducing solder voids. The system can further include a pressure source to aid in reducing the solder void and reflowing the solder after the void is reduced.
Abstract: Methods and systems for a vehicle control system to control user access to vehicle tasks, functions and/or operations based on rights and privileges set forth in user accounts.
Abstract: A method of and the device for making a LED assembly that contains regionally rigid structures that are made by bending, folding, or forming a flexible hybrid heat spreading laminate is provided. The hybrid heat spreading laminate comprises a thin heat spreader layer in the range of 100-150 micrometers. The hybrid heat spreading laminate has enhanced heat conductivity and thermal emissivity.

Abstract: A switched mode power converter is configured having predominate secondary side control. A primary side driving circuit is configured as a responsive state machine the output of which is input as the driving signal for a main switch. An output voltage, current or power is sensed and the secondary side controller compares the sensed output characteristic with a predefined reference. The comparison results in an error that signifies an amount that the output is out of regulation. The secondary side controller drives a secondary side switch to generate a voltage pulse across the secondary winding. The voltage pulse has a pulse width that represents the amount of error in the output characteristic. The voltage pulse is transmitted across the transformer and received by the primary side driving circuit, which generates a driving signal modulated according to the voltage pulse and drives the main switch to regulate the output characteristic.

Abstract: An intelligent television and methods for interactive channel navigation and channel switching are disclosed. Specifically, an input may be received at the intelligent television that prompts the display of a channel information card layout to a viewing area of an intelligent television. The display of the layout may depend on the input received. The layout may include at least one channel information card that can visually represent broadcast content available on a channel via an image, without tuning to a channel to retrieve the image. Upon receiving a navigational input, an alternate channel information card may be displayed in the channel information card layout or selection area. Upon receiving a selection input, the television tunes to the channel that is associated with a specific displayed channel information card.
