Abstract: A method for detecting interaction of a user with a steering wheel for a vehicle includes generating, via a time-of-flight sensor, a point cloud representing a compartment of the vehicle. The point cloud includes three-dimensional positional information about the compartment. The method further includes identifying, via processing circuitry in communication with the time-of-flight sensor, the steering wheel in the compartment based on the point cloud. The method further includes comparing, via the processing circuitry, the point cloud to target point cloud data representative of the steering wheel clear of attachments. The method further includes determining one of a presence and an absence of an object on the steering wheel based on the comparison. The method further includes determining an alert condition based on the determination of one of the presence and the absence of the object.

Abstract: The disclosure generally pertains to a vehicle seat headrest adjustment system. An example method executed by a processor includes determining, based on data received from a first sensor, a spatial parameter associated with a headrest of a seat in a vehicle and determining, based on data received from the first sensor and/or a second sensor, a spatial parameter associated with a head of an occupant of the seat. The processor evaluates the spatial parameters with respect to a reference spatial relationship between the headrest and the head of the occupant and issues an audible alert and/or a visual advisory to reposition and/or reorient the headrest based on the evaluation. The spatial parameters can be, for example, an orientation of the headrest, a separation distance between the headrest and the head of the occupant, or a relative orientation of the head of the occupant with respect to the headrest.

  • Patent number: 12091377
Abstract: Organic isocyanates are converted to ureas by heating in the presence of certain cobalt, magnesium, chromium and lanthanide series organometallic catalysts. The process requires no water or other reactants. The process is particularly useful for removing small quantities of monoisocyanates from a solvent stream recovered from a polyisocyanate manufacturing process. The urea compounds in some instances can be recycled back into the polyisocyanate manufacturing process and reacted with polyisocyanate compounds to form biurets.
