In this way, a source of degradation may be pinpointed, which may increase a lifetime of a vehicle engine system, reduce undesired emissions, and which may increase customer satisfaction resulting from shorter time spent on diagnosing such a source of degradation.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to polyether-acetal polyol compositions, more particularly to polyol compositions including a polyether-acetal polyol that can be utilized to form polyurethanes. As an example, a polyurethane formulation can include a polyol composition including a polyether-acetal polyol functionalized with at least one acetal functional group, where the polyol composition has an average hydroxyl functionality from 2 to 8 and a hydroxyl equivalent weight from 150 to 4000, where the portion of the polyether-acetal polyol that is functionalized with the at least one acetal functional group is 1 percent to 40 percent of a total weight of the polyether-acetal polyol, where the polyether-acetal polyol has a primary hydroxyl group content of at least 55 percent, and a polyisocyanate, where the polyurethane formulation has an isocyanate index in a range from 70 to 500.

Abstract: A system of surge suppressor units is connected at multiple locations on a power transmission and distribution grid to provide grid level protection against various disturbances before such disturbances can reach or affect facility level equipment. The surge suppressor units effectively prevent major voltage and current spikes from impacting the grid. In addition, the surge suppressor units include various integration features which provide diagnostic and remote reporting capabilities required by most utility operations. As such, the surge suppressor units protect grid level components from major events such as natural geomagnetic disturbances (solar flares), extreme electrical events (lightning) and human-generated events (EMPs) and cascading failures on the power grid.
Abstract: A computer determines a gap distance behind a front seat. In response to detecting an impact of the vehicle, the computer selectively controls deployment of an airbag based at least in part on a gap distance behind the front seat. The computer may determine the gap distance based on seat position data, image data, weight data, triangulation data, and proximity data. The computer may be incorporated into an airbag deployment control system for deploying the airbag behind the front seat.
