  • Patent number: 8605610
Abstract: A method and apparatus for adaptively transmitting the same data, i.e., multicast/broadcast data, according to channel quality to a receiving group including one or more terminals that request the same service in a wireless network. A base station obtains feedback on channel quality indications (CQIs) from a plurality of terminals, selects a transmission technique that satisfies desired service quality based on the CQIs, and transmits data to the terminals included in a receiving group by using the selected transmission technique. The CQIs to be transmitted from the terminals in the receiving group to the base station are transmitted through a previously allocated common CQI feedback channel. In the present invention, in order to reduce a CQI feedback channel capacity, the base station does not allocate a common CQI feedback channel with respect to each reception terminal and allocates radio resources according to CQI levels.

  • Patent number: 8602994
Abstract: A method for measuring a mechanical property of a subject includes using an ultrasound transducer to apply ultrasonic vibration pulses to a location in a subject in order to induce shear waves at multiple prescribed orthogonal frequencies in the subject. The ultrasound transducer is directed by an excitation signal that is composed of multiple orthogonal basis functions, each having a given frequency component corresponding to the prescribed orthogonal frequencies. The power level of each orthogonal basis function is independently adjustable. The excitation signal can be sparsely sampled, or portions of the excitation signal can be removed in order to improve tissue vibration and to provide for the interleaving ultrasonic vibration and detection pulses. Ultrasonic detection pulses are applied to at least one motion detection point, from which echo signals are received. From the received echo signals, a motion signal is determined, from which mechanical properties of the subject are calculated.

  • Publication number: 20130319073
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for measuring a shearing force upon sitting in a seat in a vehicle. The apparatus includes a shearing force sensor, a signal processor, and a monitoring device. The shearing force sensor is disposed in a compartment in a seat and senses the shearing force generated upon sitting on the seat. The signal processor filters and amplifies a signal from the shearing force sensor 10, and converts an amplified analog signal into a digital signal. The monitoring device analyzes the signal converted by the signal processor and displays the signal. As a result, the apparatus measures all directions of shearing forces generated upon sitting.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a gene expression regulating sequence consisting of a combination of HRE, E2F and TERT, and to a gene delivery system having significantly improved selective tumor cell cytotoxicity using same, and more particularly, to a recombinant adenovirus. In addition, the present invention relates to a pharmaceutical antitumor composition comprising the recombinant adenovirus. The replication of the recombinant adenovirus of the present invention is tumor-specifically regulated by the novel gene expression regulating sequence of the present invention, thus enabling the recombinant adenovirus of the present invention to exhibit improved selective tumor cell cytotoxicity or apoptotic potential, and exhibit remarkably improved antitumor effects particularly in hypoxic conditions. In addition, the specific expression of the recombinant adenovirus in tumor cells may increase in vivo stability, and thus may induce greatly improved antitumor effects.
