Abstract: A computer architecture for graph-traversal provides a processor for bottom-up sequencing through the graph data according to vertex degree. This ordered sequencing reduces redundant edge checks. In one embodiment, vertex adjacency data describing the graph may be allocated among different memory structures in the memory hierarchy to provide faster access to vertex data associated with vertices of higher degree reducing data access time. The adjacency data also may be coded to provide higher compression in memory of vertex data having high vertex degree.
Abstract: A phase shifter includes a first dielectric layer, a switch mounted to the first dielectric layer, a conductive layer mounted to the first dielectric layer, a second dielectric layer mounted to the conductive layer, a conducting pattern layer mounted to the second dielectric layer, and a plurality of vias. The switch is switchable between a first conducting position and a second conducting position. Each via is connected between a first or a second throw arm of the switch and a conductor of the conducting pattern layer. When an electromagnetic wave incident on the phase shifter is reflected, an electric polarization of the reflected electromagnetic wave is rotated by ±90 degrees compared to an electric polarization of the incident electromagnetic wave based on a conducting position of the switch. The phase shifter can be used as one-bit spatial phase shifter to provide either 0° or 180° phase shift over wide bandwidths.

Abstract: The present invention provides synthetic peptide compounds and uses thereof for therapy and diagnostics of complement-mediated diseases, such as inflammatory diseases, autoimmune diseases, and microbial and bacterial infections; and non-complement-mediated diseases, such cystic fibrosis and various acute diseases. The invention is directed to modifications of a synthetic peptide of 15 amino acids from the Polar Assortant (PA) peptide, which is a scrambled peptide derived from human Astrovirus protein. In some embodiments, the invention is directed to peptide compounds that are peptide mimetics, peptide analogs and/or synthetic derivatives of PA (e.g., sarcosine derivatives) having, for example, internal peptide substitutions, and modifications, including PEGylation at the N-terminus and C-terminus. The invention further provides methods of selecting at least one synthetic peptide for treating various conditions.

Abstract: The present invention addresses the problem of providing a polycyclic aromatic compound which has improved solubility in solvents, film formability, wet coatability and in-plane orientation. Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a strain sensor and a method of fabricating the same. The strain sensor according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes an X-axis sensor formed on a flexible insulating substrate and responsible for sensing X-axis strain; a Y-axis sensor formed on the flexible insulating substrate to be orthogonal to the X-axis sensor and responsible for sensing Y-axis strain; a metal electrode formed on a region of the flexible insulating substrate where the X-axis sensor and the Y-axis sensor are not formed; and an encapsulation layer formed on the X-axis sensor, the Y-axis sensor, and the metal electrode. In this case, the X-axis sensor and the Y-axis sensor have a metal-insulator heterostructure.

Abstract: A method of treating a malignant solid tumor in a subject is disclosed herein.
