  • Patent number: 10118868
Abstract: A method of producing artificial bio-soil aggregates based on foamed concrete for plant growth that can ensure sufficient moisture and plant nutrients for the habitat of plants in non-soil conditions; obtain a lightweight, durable, and deep soil layer, and continuously provide a favorable environment for plant growth. A paste is prepared by mixing cement with an admixture, such as ochre and burnt-furnace slag; foamed concrete is formed by adding foam bubbles with an appropriate foaming rate to said paste, thereby producing soil concrete. When the foamed concrete is used, a designated compressive strength can be ensured and a number of pore spaces are formed, which allow the air to be sucked and expelled therethrough and store moisture therein. Also, hydrogel that is incorporated into the foamed concrete may supply nutrients required for plant growth, improve pest resistance, and store and supply a large amount of water.

  • Patent number: 10119286
Abstract: A wave propagation apparatus. The apparatus includes a container enclosing a base layer/liquid and an overlying layer/liquid separated from each other. Above the overlying layer is a driver sprocket and a driven sprocket, which rotate about their respective central shafts, which are fixed across a width of the container. A closed chain loop is disposed around the sprockets, with a plurality of paddles secured thereto at a spaced distance away from each other. The chain rotates about the sprockets as they rotate about the central shafts. The driver sprocket rotates via a motor, which is controlled by a controller and powered by a power source. The paddles travel through the overlying layer but not through the base layer, thus displacing the fluid in the overlying layer and causing a dragging wave to appear in the base layer, due to the surface friction between the base layer and the overlying layer.

  • Patent number: 10118312
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for manufacturing high-performance concrete by introducing air into normal concrete and dissipating air, wherein high-performance concrete is formed in a manner in which bubbles, which are to be removed, are added in a large amount together with an admixture to pre-blended normal concrete so that the admixture is uniformly dispersed in the normal concrete using the ball-bearing effect of the bubbles, thus forming mixed concrete, and the mixed concrete is discharged using air at a high pressure of 5 atom or more to thereby shoot high-performance concrete of which the slump, remarkably increased due to the large amount of bubbles, is reduced to fall within the range of slump of normal concrete while dissipating excess air from the mixed concrete.
