    Abstract: A decoder and a predictive decoding method performed by the decoder are described. The method includes receiving a coding block from an encoder, partitioning the coding block into N coding units (CUs) based on coding tree information, identifying whether first N?1 CUs have same prediction information, and excluding the prediction information from a merging candidate list or a probable intra prediction mode list for Nth CU when the first N?1 CUs have same prediction information. By considering the prediction information of first N?1 coding when deciding a merging candidate list or a probable intra prediction mode list for the Nth CU, this present disclosure increase the accuracy of image prediction for the last coding or prediction block.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to technology for sending network management information in a network. A source edge node modifies data packets by encapsulating an operations, administration and maintenance (OAM) header in a select number of the data packets. The OAM header includes a data type bitmap and a node data list. A valid node bitmap is inserted into the OAM header prior to the node data list, and each bit in the valid node bitmap identifies whether one or more nodes in the network add data to the OAM header. A valid data bitmap is then added into the OAM header for each of the one or more nodes identified as adding data to the OAM header. The valid data bitmap indicates types of data items available at the node. Subsequently, the edge node issues the select data packets to the one or more nodes identified in the OAM header.

    Abstract: Embodiments are provided for cross-polarized antennas design with different down tilt angles that support versatile functionality, such as for MIMO or beamforming. An embodiment antenna circuit comprises a baseband signal processor, a pair of RF transmitters coupled to the baseband signal processor, a pair of PAs coupled to the RF transmitters, a 90°/180° hybrid coupler coupled to the RF transmitters, a pair of duplexers and two antennas coupled to the PAs. The two antennas are down tilted at different down tilt angles. A pair of signals is generated using the baseband signal processor, transmitted by the RF transmitters, and amplified using the PAs. Additionally, a 90° or 180° phase difference is introduced into the signals using the 90°/180° hybrid coupler. After the amplifying and introducing the phase difference, the signals are polarized at two different polarizations and down tilted at different down tilt angles using the two antennas.

    Abstract: Augmented reality can be used to display previously captured images on a viewfinder of a camera as the camera's active position nears a position from which the picture was originally taken. A histogram file may associate the original image with positional information of the camera when the image was captured. When the cameras active position nears those coordinates, a transparent version of the digital image is displayed on the viewfinder of the camera. The positional information may include a spatial location of the camera (e.g., GPS coordinates, etc.) as well as an orientation of the camera (e.g., yaw, pitch, roll, etc.). Augmented reality can be used to guide the user to configure/re-configure the camera in order to correct (or avoid) an image quality issue/defect when re-taking a picture.

A transaction identification can be generated at both the host and the memory module independently using incremental counters of these apparatus. Synchronization of the transaction identifications generated by the host and by a controller of the memory module can be implemented using a parity bit sequences pattern of a combination of the generated transaction identification plus the corresponding transaction command and data address. Use of transaction commands modified with respect to transaction identifications can be used in initialization of the synchronization, in message passing, and in error detection and response to errors. Additional apparatus, systems, and methods can be implemented in a variety of applications.

    Abstract: Technology for providing data to a processing unit is disclosed. A computer processor may be divided into a master processing unit and consumer processing units. The master processing unit at least partially decodes a machine instruction and determines whether data is needed to execute the machine instruction. The master processing unit sends a request to memory for the data. The request may indicate that the data is to be sent from the memory to a consumer processing unit. The data sent by the memory in response to the request may be stored in local read storage that is close to the consumer processing unit for fast access. The master processing unit may also provide the machine instruction to the consumer processing unit.
