Abstract: Systems and methods for vehicle data collection by image analysis are provided. An example method involves positioning a camera in a vehicle to be pointed toward a field of interest in the vehicle, capturing an image of the field of interest with the camera, identifying a region of interest in the image that is expected to convey vehicle information, and running an image processing model over the region of interest to extract vehicle information from the image.

Abstract: Systems and methods for training image processing models for vehicle data collection by image analysis are provided. An example method involves accessing an image of a field of interest in a vehicle captured by a camera in the vehicle, providing a user interface to, display the image, receive input that defines a region of interest in the image that is expected to convey vehicle information, and receive input that assigns a label to the region of interest that associates the region of interest with an image processing model that is to be trained to extract a type of vehicle information from the region of interest, and contributing the image, labelled with the region of interest and the label associating the region of interest to the image processing model, to a training data library to train the image processing model.

Abstract: Described herein are methods of processing telematics data that include receiving initial telematics data related to a vehicle from a telematics device and processing the initial telematics data to generate processed telematics data. For each recipient of a plurality of recipients, the methods additionally include determining, from the initial telematics data and/or the processed telematics data, data that is to be made accessible to a recipient. Determining the data that is to be made accessible to the recipient comprises evaluating one or more constraints for the recipient that constrain what data the recipient is permitted to receive and determining what data has been requested to be provided to the recipient. For each recipient of a plurality of recipients, the methods additionally include distributing the determined data to the recipient. Also described herein are systems for processing telematics data in accordance with the described methods.
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods relating to determining geographic locations of vehicle ways which are employed by vehicles for movement and/or parking. A classifier may be defined for identifying portions of the vehicle ways via machine learning techniques and processing of historical telematic data.

Abstract: Described herein are various techniques, including systems and non-transitory instructions, that, in response to obtaining information regarding a potential collision between a vehicle and an object, obtain data describing the vehicle for a time period extending before and after a time of the potential collision. The system may determine a likelihood that the potential collision is a non-collision event based on the data describing the vehicle by performing one or more assessments. The assessments may include telematics monitor assessment, driver behavior assessment, road surface feature assessment, trip correlation assessment, and/or context assessment. In response to determining that the likelihood indicates that the potential collision is not a non-collision event, the system may trigger one or more actions responding to the potential collision.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for controlling charging of vehicles, to avoid charging during charge-adverse time periods or during charge restriction events. This can advantageously reduce cost to vehicles owners, and or provide access to reward incentives. Further, power distribution entities (utility providers) advantageously have increased control over power distribution to avoid over-burdening of power distribution infrastructure. Further, systems and methods for determining or inferring whether a vehicle is connected to a charge station are described, which can be used to inform automatic restriction of vehicle charging.
