Abstract: A wearable noise-reducing device is provided. The device may have ear plugs which may be engaged to the user's ears for sound blocking and reducing purposes, and the device may be configured to be worn on the body of a user when not engaged to the user's ears. The device may include a first connector that may be coupled to a first ear plug, and the first ear plug may surround at least a portion of the first connector. A second connector may be coupled to a second ear plug, and the second ear plug may surround at least a portion of the second connector. The first connector and second connector may be configured to be removably coupled together. A flexible coupling, having an elongated length, may be coupled to both the first ear plug and to the second ear plug.
Abstract: The present invention is in the fields of mechanical engineering and medicine, focused on the area of dressings and devices for negative pressure therapies. More specifically, the invention discloses an improved dressing, a device that provides the generation and indication of negative pressure that can be detachably connected to a dressing, a kit, a manufacturing process and a negative pressure therapy. The dressing of the invention comprises a valved connector detachably connectable to a device for manual generation of negative pressure and optionally comprises a means for colorimetric indication of negative pressure. The device of the invention provides manual generation of negative pressure and also visually indicates the negative pressure, for the user to verify that the negative pressure is within a range suitable for treatment, which preferably includes alternating the intensity of the negative pressure.
Abstract: A post-surgical garment includes a fabric body defining compression zone for a patient. The compression zone includes a surgical area. The fabric body includes one or more pockets that overlap at least in part with a surgical area of the patient. The one or more pockets are accessible from an outside of the garment and are configured to hold absorption pads snugly against the surgical area for absorbing fluid from the surgical area.

Abstract: A portable medical device for adjusting a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) treatment includes a processor. The processor is configured to determine a particular CPR treatment protocol from one or more CPR treatment protocols. The particular CPR treatment protocol may include a ratio of a number of chest compressions to ventilations for administering during a CPR cycle. The processor is configured to receive a CPR time period for the CPR treatment for the CPR treatment, to determine a number of CPR cycles for the CPR treatment based on the particular CPR treatment protocol, and to calculate a time duration of the CPR treatment based on the number of CPR cycles of the particular CPR treatment protocol. The processor is configured to compare the time duration to the CPR time period and to modify the particular CPR treatment protocol or CPR time period based on the comparison.
