Patent number: 4607029Abstract: Novel sodium amoxicillin preparations which are easily converted into stable, suitably injectable solutions which are free of allergic reactions-causing chemicals and which contain besides sodium amoxicillin, a small amount of sodium hydroxide and optionally also a small amount of sodium chloride, and a process for their preparation and a process for the preparation of aqueous sodium amoxicillin containing injection solutions. The sodium amoxicillin preparations are prepared by the as fast but gradual addition as possible of an excess of sodium hydroxide to a suspension of amoxicillin trihydrate in water until the amoxicillin has completely dissolved, whereafter optionally a part of the excess of base is immediately neutralized with hydrochloric acid while the temperature is kept between 0.degree.-30.degree.
