Abstract: A supportive software-based “toolbox” for recognizing patterns in finite state machine (FSM)-modeled systems. The pattern recognition may include identifying data associated with a design of a finite state machine (FSM)-modeled system from a user device, determining a design analysis model from one more annotated or existing designs, and identifying one or more system patterns within the FSM-modeled system based on searching the FSM-modeled system according to the design analysis model.

  • Publication number: 20250007799
Abstract: Vehicles, e.g., autonomous vehicles, can have sophisticated networked systems onboard. A networked system for a vehicle may include many edge devices, such as sensors, network devices, microcontrollers, boards, operating systems, etc. Many edge devices may report health status information to help vehicles achieve a certain integrity level and safety goals. The health status information may be collected and processed by a compute system to assess whether certain flags or alerts should be raised, and whether the vehicle should enter a degraded state of operation. It is not trivial to implement an effective and efficient framework that can manage many edge devices in a networked system reporting a high volume of health status information. An edge devices diagnostics framework may ensure reliable transmission of health status information, mechanisms for fault injection, and the use of configuration templates to standardize and simplify configuration of monitors for various edge devices.

  • Publication number: 20250004746
Abstract: For security reasons, a one-way Ethernet communication link is implemented to segregate edge devices for an autonomous vehicle (AV) from the AV compute system. A non-feature rich backchannel allows very limited amounts of data to be transmitted from the edge devices side to the AV compute side. It is a challenge to query information about the edge devices when the backchannel only allows enumerated type data values to be transmitted. To address this concern, the customer-facing access point includes a relay endpoint that operates as a proxy to a web server that manages the edge devices and encodes responses as enumerated type data values to be transmitted over the backchannel.
