Abstract: A method for determining flow rates and phase fractions within a throughbore is disclosed. The method includes providing a mixture of one or more fluids through a fluid flow path in a throughbore at a flow rate, reducing the flow rate, slidably moving a first and second sleeve along the throughbore to a first position of a plurality of positions, measuring a first and second differential pressure at the first position, calculating a first loss pressure ratio from the first and second differential pressure. The method further includes slidably moving the first sleeve and second sleeve to each of the others of the plurality of positions in succession after the first position, measuring a plurality of differential pressures and calculating a loss pressure ratio at each of the plurality of positions, and calculating a plurality of flow rates phase fractions of the fluids flowing through the fluid flow path.

Abstract: Service disruption prevention through monitoring dynamic geofencing is disclosed. The present disclosure seeks to prevent (or drastically reduce the probability) mass vehicle recovery events due to fragile portions of the map. Tooling is used to actively monitor chokepoints and new avoidance areas. Comprised by the operational design domain (ODD), geofences are actively changed in response to the state of the chokepoints and avoidance areas. Varying states can be assigned to a plurality of geofences within the ODD, for example, if a geofence reaches a critical state, one or more areas can be cut off from the ODD.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus disclosed within provide a solution to problems associated with the use of either high frequency or low frequency radar signals. Methods of the present disclosure may transmit high frequency radar signals, transmit low frequency radar signals, receive reflected radar signals, and process the received radar signals using parameters respectively suited for processing high frequency and low frequency radar signals. Evaluations may be performed that allow an apparatus to adapt for limitations associated with the processing of high frequency radar data, the processing of low frequency radar data, or both. Different correlation functions may be performed that allow the apparatus to identify objects and to identify object velocities using different sets of program code instructions. These different evaluations and correlations may result in the generation of a set of “point-cloud” information that may be used by other processes of a sensing apparatus.

Abstract: An electrified powertrain system including a battery pack, electric motor, and a local controller. In response to a connection of the battery pack to an offboard charging station having a station controller, the local controller receives a reported charging limit from and transmits an initial charge request signal to the station controller. The initial charge request signal is a request for charging power or current at the reported charging limit. The vehicle controller also detects a threshold oscillation of the charging limit during an active charging event during which the battery pack recharges. In response to the threshold oscillation during the active charging event, the vehicle controller temporarily reduces the initial charge request to a derated level.

Abstract: A system and method for adaptation of electric vehicle charging communication parameters that includes commencing, by an electric vehicle (EV), a communication session between the EV and an electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) charging station. The communication session includes extracting a vehicle charging communication session parameter from the EVSE charging station and validating, by the EV, that the vehicle charging communication session parameter with a default charging parameter. A direct current or an alternating current charging of the EV, based on a digital communication parameter received by the EVSE charging station, is initiated. In the event of a failure of the communication session, the vehicle charging communication session parameter is relaxed and a restarted EV charging session is initiated, where if the restarted EV charging session is successful, a deviation parameter is generated.
