Abstract: In the case of a spinning machine having several spinning stations, which comprise drafting units, for the spinning of slivers fed in cans, false-twisting elements are connected in front of the drafting units which provide the slivers with a protective twist.
Abstract: In the case of an arrangement for the cleaning of the circumferential surface of a delivery roller pair of a drafting unit of a spinning machine, devices are provided for the reinforcing of the cleaning effect while the drafting unit starts up again after a stoppage. Heating devices are also disclosed for heating the pressure rollers before a piecing operation is started.
Abstract: In the case of a textile machine comprising drafting units that are disposed next to one another, the bottom cylinders are arranged in the longitudinal direction of the machine so that they continue along several or all drafting units. The continuous bottom cylinders are disposed at several bearing points which are arranged at a spacing from one another in the longitudinal direction of the machine. It is provided, in the case of the delivery bottom cylinder, to design at least some of the bearing points such that they can be radially adjusted. As a result, radial directional deviations of the delivery bottom cylinder can be compensated which occur along its longitudinal dimension.
Abstract: For the strengthening of an end portion of a yarn which extends on a spinning station of a spinning machine between a stopped spool package and a suction withdrawal device assigned to the spinning station, the yarn which projects into the withdrawal device is gripped, is lengthened by the winding-off of the yarn wound onto the spool package, and is then strengthened in an essentially stationary position by means of a twisting entered in the area of the yarn end. In the case of an arrangement provided for this purpose, particularly mechanically operating twisting devices are used.
Abstract: In the case of a spinning machine for the spinning of slivers fed in cans into yarns, drivable transport belts are provided which transport the slivers between the cans and the spinning stations. Stationary lateral guides are assigned to the transport belts immediately before they run onto deflecting rollers, the distance between these stationary lateral guides being maximally as large as the width of the deflecting rollers. At the point of the lateral guides, a rear support is provided which is in a slight contact with the transport belt.
Abstract: In the case of a spinning machine with several spinning stations for the spinning of sliver which is guided by transport devices from cans to the spinning stations, devices are provided for the air-conditioning of the slivers during the transport from the cans to the spinning stations. The air-conditioning devices include air-conditioning ducts which extend adjacent a portion of the travel path of the slivers.
Abstract: For the axial securing of a spindle top part with respect to a spindle housing, it is known to provide the interior wall of the wharve bore with a collar which is in a detachable form closure with an elastic ring which is fixed on a front-face cover of the spindle housing. According to the invention, for the axial securing of the spindle top part, a retaining element is fixed on a sleeve which is fastened to an outer circumference of the spindle housing and projects beyond its top end face. When the spindle top part 2 is pulled off, such an internal securing arrangement prevents impairments which have a negative effect on the bearing seat of the upper bearing.
Abstract: In the case of an arrangement for pneumatic false-twist spinning, it is provided that a sliver is divided in the area of the delivery roller pair of a drafting unit, is divided into two partial slivers. Edge fibers are spread away during and after the division. The divided slivers are then jointly or separately pneumatically false-twisted and are wound up as an individual yarn, as two separate yarns or as a double yarn.
Abstract: In the case of a spinning machine having a plurality of spinning units and a movable arrangement for eliminating a yarn breakage which comprises devices for storing the newly spun yarn during the establishment of a yarn connection, it is provided that the devices for the storing of the yarn comprise a sensor which determines a predetermined point in time of the emptying. The sensor is connected to a control device and the signal of which determines the starting point in time of a time period given in the control device during which the drive of the auxiliary winding device still continues to run at an increased winding speed as compared to normal spinning operations.
Abstract: In the case of a spinning machine for the spinning of yarns from slivers which are fed in cans, the slivers are guided from the cans to the spinning stations by guiding devices. The guiding devices comprise a driven conveyor belt for at least two slivers which are to be conveyed side-by-side.
Abstract: In the case of an open-end spinning rotor assembly composed of a rotor and a rotor shaft, it is provided that the free end of the rotor shaft is equipped with an exchangeable supporting element assigned to a step bearing. The supporting element has a centric guiding surface which is assigned to a concentric guiding surface of the shaft, the axial length of the guiding surface of the supporting element being larger than half the overall axial length of the supporting element.

Abstract: At least one air-conditioning duct is provided which extends in the longitudinal direction of a spinning machine of the type including drafting devices. The air-conditioning duct is provided with outlet openings for air-conditioned fluid flows disposed such that the fluid flows penetrate the drafting devices. Preferably, an air-conditioning duct which both machine sides have in common is arranged below the drafting devices in the area of the machine center. Preferably, the fiber material, also for ring spinning machines, is fed in the form of slivers which are placed in cans which are deposited on a platform above the spinning machine.
Abstract: In a process and arrangement for false-twist spinning, it is provided that, by use of an air current in the delivery area of a drafting unit, an increased number of fiber ends are spread away which subsequently, in a controlled manner, are wound around the sliver by means of a guiding element moving in the travelling direction of the sliver and holding the spread-away fiber ends.
Abstract: In the case of a spinning or twisting machine, it is provided that the spindles are each driven by separate electric motors which, together with their bearings, are arranged in a spindle rail constructed as a longitudinal duct, the stators and the rotors of the electric motors being disposed in the longitudinal duct in an exposed manner.
Abstract: An arrangement for pneumatic false-twist spinning having a drafting unit, a false-twisting device which follows, having a connected withdrawal device and having a rotation body arranged between the false-twisting device and the drafting unit. It is provided that the rotation body is arranged directly behind the pair of delivery rollers of the drafting unit in such a manner that its suction device is effective into the area of the nip line of the pair of delivery rollers of the drafting unit. A suction slot of the rotation body has a section which extends essentially in the direction of the nip line and is situated in the area of a deflection of the sliver leaving the pair of delivery rollers.
Abstract: In the case of a spinning machine having spinning stations arranged on both sides of the machine for the spinning of yarns from slivers which are fed to the spinning stations in cans deposited above the spinning machine, the slivers are guided from the cans to the spinning stations by guiding devices. In the area of the center plane of the spinning machine, the guiding devices comprise two skids which extend vertically at a distance from one another, are each assigned to one side of the machine and are pressed apart in the manner of a fishbelly bulge by spreader devices. A transport belt which is placed against the skid is assigned to each skid and transports one sliver or several slivers.

At an opposite axial end face of the rotor shaft, a small round plate is mounted which serves as an axial bearing surface engageable with a step bearing. The round plate is attached in a precise position on the corresponding round surface on the rotor shaft axial end. In certain preferred embodiments, the round plate and the rotor shaft end face are provided with recesses for accommodating glue or other adhesive.
Abstract: In the case of a bearing for spindles of spinning or twisting machines, which contains a spindle bearing housing, a bolster, a centering tube, a pivot bearing and a step bearing sleeve, it is provided that a predetermined bearing play of the step bearing sleeve is adjusted to a desired dimension by maching the radial interior surface of the step bearing sleeve while the sleeve is already mounted in the centering tube.
