Abstract: A method includes determining a plurality of target device distances between a plurality of vehicle sensor nodes of a vehicle and the target device, identifying a reference target device distance from among the plurality of target device distances based on a magnitude of the plurality of target device distances, and determining a threshold comparison distance based on the reference target device distance, a reference intranode distance, and a predetermined error distance. The method includes assigning the plurality of vehicle sensor nodes to one of a reflecting vehicle sensor node set and a non-reflecting vehicle sensor node set based on a comparison between the threshold comparison distance and the plurality of target device distances and determining a positional characteristic of the target device based on one or more target device distances associated with one or more vehicle sensor nodes from among the non-reflecting vehicle sensor node set.

Abstract: In at least one embodiment, an active noise cancellation (ANC) system is provided. The ANC system includes at least one loudspeaker, at least one microphone, and a reference generator. The at least one loudspeaker projects anti-noise sound within a cabin of a vehicle based at least on an estimated reference signal and an anti-noise signal. The at least one microphone to provide a first error signal indicative of noise and the anti-noise sound within the cabin. The at least one filter controller programmed to receive the first error signal and the estimated reference signal; and to control at least one adaptive filter to generate the anti-noise signal based at least on the first error signal and the estimated reference signal. The reference generator is programmed to generate the estimated reference signal based at least on one of vehicle speed, temperature of a tire of the vehicle, or tire pressure.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for master media clock recovery. In various embodiments, recovering a master media clock may comprise receiving clock reference format (CRF) packets carrying timestamps (Ts). Differences of Ts between adjacent CRF packets may be calculated, and an average difference of Ts between adjacent timestamps may be calculated. A recovered frequency of a master clock may be based on the calculated average difference of Ts between adjacent timestamps. The recovered frequency may be used to regulate a timing of, for example, a kernel module and/or a media application.

Abstract: A mounting system for mounting a loudspeaker to a substrate includes a mounting assembly having an elongated screw, a support member received on and movable along the screw, and a mounting arm rotatably connected to the support member and having a resting position and a working position. A guide housing receives the mounting assembly with the screw extending longitudinally therethrough and includes a wall structure with an open front side and a cap at a top portion of the wall structure. In the resting position, the support member is positioned along the screw at least partially received within the cap and the mounting arm is substantially contained within the wall structure. In the working position, the support member is positioned along the screw to be outside of the cap and the mounting arm is spring-biased away from the screw and extends outwardly through the front side of the wall structure.

Abstract: A system and method for estimating secondary path impulse response (IR) for an active noise cancellation (ANC) system to enhance performance of the ANC system in a near-imperceptible manner is provided. An adaptive music interference canceller (AMIC) uses music signals as test signals and ANC error microphones to estimate the secondary path IR between all speakers and microphones. The system validates that the music signals have sufficient audio content to be considered an adequate test signal. Furthermore, the system employs additional signal processing to ensure that a unique IR for all speakers and microphones can be obtained using the audio test signals. New coefficients of the AMIC filter are calculated, in real time, using the music signals and can be copied into the estimated secondary path for the ANC system. A supervisor unit manages enabling and disabling the AMIC as needed for calculating and copying coefficients.
