  • Patent number: 11670276
Abstract: Noise signals are captured from one or more physical error microphones located at first locations within the vehicle. High-frequency noise signals are captured from a feedforward system sensor. A virtual microphone algorithm is utilized to estimate noise signals at a virtual location based on the noise signals, the estimation utilizing a transfer function that estimates a signal that would have been received by the one or more physical error microphones at the virtual location. The virtual microphone algorithm is utilized to estimate noise signals at the virtual location based on the high-frequency noise signal. A noise-cancelling signal is provided to cancel noise at the virtual location, the noise-cancelling signal accounting for the noise captured by both the feedforward system sensor and the one or more physical error microphones, the ANC system utilizing a working frequency for the ANC of at least 2 kHz.

  • Patent number: 11664007
Abstract: In at least one embodiment, an active noise cancellation (ANC) system is provided. The ANC system includes at least one microphone, a first filter, a first controllable filter, and at least one controller. The at least one microphone provides an error signal indicative of noise and an anti-noise sound within the cabin. The first filter modifies a transfer function between the at least one microphone and at least one remote microphone location to generate an estimated remote microphone error signal based at least on the error signal. The first controllable filter generates the anti-noise signal based on the estimated remote microphone error signal. The controller receives receive a first signal indicative of the vehicle exhibiting a fast-adapting event controls the first filter to execute a predetermined filter based on the first signal to reduce a group delay associated with the first filter.

  • Patent number: 11658631
Abstract: A phase optimizer optimizes, for each listening position in a listening environment, a phase shift for each frequency in a range of predetermined frequencies. The phase optimizer determines a resultant phase value for each possible phase shift value and stores the resultant phase values for each possible phase shift value in an array. The phase optimizer calculates mean and standard deviation for the resultant phases stored in the array. The mean and standard deviations stored in the array are compared and phase shift values that result in the resultant phase values having the smallest mean and standard deviations are selected and are stored in memory. The phase optimizer optimizes each frequency, within a predetermined range of frequencies, for all possible phase shift values within a predetermined range of phase shift values and generates a phase shift target curve generated to be output by the phase optimizer.
