Abstract: The pressure element (7) is designed for gluing a bandlike covering (4) by means of an adhesive onto a narrow face (3) (edge) of straight or curved (profiled) cross section of a board element (2) or for gluing a film onto a profile bar having a surface of straight or profiled cross section. The pressure element (7) has an elastically deformable pressure face (30). High adhesive bonding strength and high surface quality are achieved in a simple, uncomplicated and cost-effective way by means of only a few pressure elements.
Abstract: A process for heating particle filled adhesive compositions by using an electrical, magnetic or electromagnetic alternating field. Nanoscale particles are employed having ferromagnetic, ferrimagnetic, superparamagnetic or piezoelectric properties. These particles more efficiently convert the electrical, magnetic or electromagnetic input into heat to cure the adhesive composition. With this process not only is the rate of cure accelerated but the various properties of the adhesive are less likely to be adversely affected.

Abstract: A molding is described, the outer edge region of which comprises a thermally expandable material that has a high coefficient of friction in relation to metal or plastic. In its inner region this molding has an aperture and/or recess for receiving a mounting aid. The molding is suitable as a sealing and acoustically active bulkhead part and with the aid of friction forces can be fixed mechanically in the cavity of structural components without these components having to exhibit bores, apertures or other devices for fixing the bulkhead part.
Abstract: A method for stabilizing machine processes in which the machines are regulated by a machine regulation matrix selected from a plurality of machine regulation matrixes using a detected machine sensor value, set-point values of the machines being stored in each machine regulation matrix. A process is optimized according to a predefined criterion by also using some of the machine sensor values such that a machine regulation matrix which is optimal according to the process optimization is determined from the plurality of machine regulation matrixes and is subsequently used for regulating the machines.

Abstract: A laminate tape useful for insulating pipes, lines and the like is constructed of a tacky first layer containing asphalt and an insulative filler such as granulated cork adhered to a flexible second layer that is less tacky. The flexible second layer contains a rubber such as butyl rubber.
Abstract: Polyurethane compositions are produced in a two-stage method. In a first step, a diol component with a molecular weight of less than 2000 is reacted with a monomeric diisocyanate with a molecular weight of less than 500 and the unreacted monomeric diisocyanate is removed from this reaction product. In a second step, the resulting high-molecular diisocyanate is reacted with a polyol to produce a reactive prepolymer with isocyanate and groups. The addition of polyisocyanates which are capable of migration and which have a substantially lower vapor pressure than diphenylmethanediisocyanate, improves the addition behavior of the invention polyurethane compositions. Reactive polyurethane compositions of this type are suitable for using as binding agents for reactive one or two component adhesives/sealants, which may optionally contain solvents. These compositions are also suitable for producing reactive hot melt adhesives when suitable polyols are selected.

Abstract: An adhesive tape product comprises a length of adhesive tape mounted on a core with a reduced tendency to telescope. A layer of compressible foam is provided between the core and the body of tape wound on the core. Alternatively, the core is fabricated to have a slight bulge in its center giving the core a barrel shape thereby reducing the tendency for the body of tape wound upon the core to telescope.
Abstract: A composition for dyeing keratin-containing fibers, particularly human hair, comprising 1,2-dihydropyrimidinium derivatives in combination with reactive carbonyl compounds and methods of employing this combination for dyeing keratin-containing fibers, for color restoration or shading keratin-containing fibers that are already dyed.
