Abstract: Disclosed are resin compositions that are the reaction product of epihalohydrin with a mixture of polyaminoamide and vinyl amine polymer containing a minimum of about 1 mole % vinyl amine monomer units, wherein said polyaminoamide comprises the reaction product of dicarboxylic acid, or a derivative thereof, with polyamine selected from the group consisting of methyl bis(3-aminopropyl)amine and polyalkylenepolyamine containing from two to four alkylene groups having two to four carbons, two primary amine groups, and one to three secondary amine groups. Also disclosed are a process for creping fibrous webs utilizing the resin compositions, and creped paper prepared by the process. Also disclosed is wet and dry strength paper containing the resin compositions and processes for creping fibrous webs utilizing the resin compositions as creping adhesives.
Abstract: Silyl-linked polyamidoamines, and aqueous compositions including these resins, which have utility in wet strength, dry strength, creping, and glass fiber forming size applications.
Abstract: Water-borne paints containing reduced molecular weight polysaccharide derivatives that are resistant to enzyme hydrolysis. The water-borne paints are biostable, retaining at least about 80% of their initial viscosity 24 hours after they are inoculated with polysaccharide hydrolysis enzyme.
Abstract: Blends of meta and para isomers of .alpha., .alpha.'-bis(t-butylperoxy) diisopropylbenzene are disclosed as well as methods of producing blends of .alpha., .alpha.'-bis(t-butylperoxy) diisopropylbenzene with desired ratios of meta and para isomers.Additionally, blends of meta and para isomers of .alpha., .alpha.'-bis(t-butylperoxy) diisopropylbenzene and tertiary alkyl cumyl peroxides are disclosed. The peroxides are useful for absorbing in polymers and subsequently crosslinking the polymers. The peroxide blends may be adjusted to have melt points below temperatures at which the polymers become difficult to process during the absorption step because of stickiness.

Abstract: A bi-folding spa cover and lift for installing and removing the spa cover are disclosed. The cover includes a pair of cover members which each cover about one-half of the spa. Each cover member consists of a pair of structural plastic panels pivotably secured together so that the cover members can outwardly fold in opposite directions. A flat bottom surface of the panels rests on and overlaps a rim of the spa. A flat rubber gasket secured to the bottom of the panels engages the rim and seals the spa cover to the spa. The lift includes a pair of lift assemblies, each connected to an associated one of the cover members. Each lift assembly includes a pair of vertically extending and horizontally spaced-apart rails positioned beside the spa, a pair of blocks each linearly movable along the rails, and a pair of hinges each secured between an associated one of the blocks and the associated one of the cover members.
