Abstract: A rod group includes a plurality of first rods that has an arcuate first curve, the first rods having mutually different lengths; and a plurality of second rods that has an S-shaped second curve, the second rods having mutually different lengths. The first rods and the second rods have shapes for treatment of scoliosis by (i) guiding the postoperative apex of the thoracic kyphosis to be located at the thoracic vertebrae T6 to T8, and (ii) guiding a postoperative apex of the thoracic kyphosis to be located at a position different from a preoperative apex of the thoracic kyphosis and the second rod each have a shape extending along an anatomically normal spinal column arrangement.

Abstract: [Problem] An object of the present invention is to produce cancer cell clusters with intrinsic biological properties as cancer tissues, such as morphological polarity and tissue motion polarity, in vitro. [Solution] The present invention relates to a cell culture substrate including a base material and a biocompatible polymer layer, the substrate including a plurality of rough sections on the surface of the substrate, wherein the rough sections are not covered with the biocompatible polymer layer, have a predetermined surface structure with a predetermined shape, and are disposed at predetermined intervals. With the present invention, it is possible to obtain a live cancer cell aggregate having morphological polarity and tissue motion polarity similar to that observed in vivo, by a very easy operation of culturing cancer cells on a cell culture substrate having a predetermined structure, thereby performing live imaging of microtumors in vitro is enabled, which has been conventionally impossible.

Abstract: Provided is a method of assisting the detection of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), which is far less invasive than liver biopsy and is based on simple operations that do not require skilled technical personnel. The present invention is a method of assisting the detection of NASH, which includes: a) measuring the amount of LDL-TG contained in a test blood sample isolated from a living body; b) measuring the amount of at least one component selected from the group consisting of LDL-C, LDL subfraction-C, IIDL-C, HDL subfraction-C, ApoB, ApoE, total cholesterol, ALT, and AST contained in the test blood sample; and c) determining the possibility of developing and/or having NASH by using the amount of LDL-TG in combination with the amount of the at least one component.

Abstract: To provide novel low-temperature sinterable copper particles that can be sintered even at a low temperature of, for example, around 100° C. or less, and a method for producing a sintered body by using the same. The low-temperature sinterable copper particles according to the present invention are coated with a carboxylic acid, and a surface of the copper particle is oxidized so as to have a cuprous oxide fraction (Cu2O/(Cu+Cu2O)) in the copper particle of 4% by mass or less or so as to have an average coating thickness of cuprous oxide of 10 nm or less. The low-temperature sinterable copper particles are subjected to low-temperature firing in an atmosphere of 0.01 Pa or less.
