Abstract: A splice device is provided that includes a main housing, a first set of jaws, and a movement conversion assembly. The first set of jaws is in the main housing and depend outward along a conductor axis. The first set of jaws receive a first electrical conductor therein. The movement conversion assembly is in the main housing and includes a driver operatively associated with the first set of jaws so that a tightening movement of the driver is converted into a clamping force of the first set of jaws on the first electrical conductor.

Abstract: Trace wire connectors that include a cover that can be attached to a base and used to electrically interconnect two or more tracer wires without having to remove insulation from the tracer wires. The cover has multiple portals that permit one or more tracer wires to pass into an inner cavity of the cover. The base has multiple cradles on which tracer wires passing into the cavity can rest. The cover can be oriented relative to the base for use with a through tracer wire and a dead-end tracer wire, or for use with multiple dead-end tracer wires.

Abstract: An electrical receptacle including an outlet for electrically connecting to an external load, a load terminal electrically connected to the outlet, a line terminal electrically connected to a line and configured to receive line power, an interrupting device, and a testing circuit. The interrupting device electrically connects the load terminal to the line terminal when in a first condition and electrically disconnects the load terminal and the line terminal when in a second condition. The testing circuit is configured to determine when the external load is electrically connected to the outlet, and place the interrupting device in the first condition when the external load is electrically connected to the outlet.

Abstract: A system and method for an isolation transformer boost system. The system includes an isolation transformer, a sensor, and an electronic processor coupled to the sensor. The electronic processor configured to receive an electrical characteristic measurement from the sensor, compare the electrical characteristic measurement to a predetermined threshold, and activate an electrical characteristic boost when the electrical characteristic measurement is below the predetermined threshold.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes a clamp body having a substantially C-shaped configuration defining an interior cavity. A wedge is configured to be inserted into the clamp body. The wedge has a wedge body defining a conductor channel and a plurality of fins extending from the wedge body into the conductor channel. The plurality of fins is oriented to pierce an insulation layer of a conductor when the wedge is inserted into a clamp body.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides improved electrical box and conduit support plates that allow for central mounting of an electrical box to a support plate and mounting of electrical conduits for suspended installations in various orientations. The support plate includes a body having a plurality of built-in offsets, a plurality of built-in hanger tabs, and a plurality of clip mounting apertures that may be arranged as pairs. Each built-in offset preferably has two side walls extending from the body and a mounting arm between the side walls. Each mounting arm includes a plurality of clamp mounting apertures used to attach a conduit clamp to the mounting arm. Each of the plurality of built-in hanger tabs are preferably bendable relative to the body. Box and conduit support kits that includes a body and a plurality of hanger clips are also provided.

Abstract: In one aspect, the application provides an electrical system including a conductor, a ground, an arrester electrically connected to the conductor, and a disconnector assembly electrically connected between the arrester and the ground. The disconnector assembly includes an isolator configured to perform an operating function in response to the occurrence of an event and a housing configured to surround the isolator. The isolator includes a first terminal electrically connected to the arrester by a first wire and a second terminal electrically connected to the ground by a second wire. The housing includes a first opening through which the first terminal extends, a second opening through which the second terminal extends, and a retention mechanism configured to hold the isolator in place relative to the arrester.

Abstract: A temporary power delivery system includes a power source, a booth stringer, and a portable GFCI device. The GFCI device is receives current from the power source by a first terminal and delivers current to the booth stringer by a second terminal. An electronic processor of the GFCI device compares a combined magnitude of current flowing through first and second phase conductors of the GFCI device to a magnitude of current flowing through a neutral conductor of the GFCI. The electronic processor also compares a first voltage between the first phase conductor and neutral conductor to a second voltage between the second phase conductor and neutral conductor. A circuit breaker of the GFCI device is opened if a difference between the combined magnitude of phase conductor current and neutral conductor current exceeds a first threshold or a difference between the first voltage and second voltage exceeds a second threshold.

Abstract: A charging system includes a first charging portion and a second charging portion. The first charging portion includes at least one first connector and at least one first interface for charging a connected device. The first charging portion is configured to receive electrical current from a power source. The second charging portion includes at least one second connector and at least one second interface for charging a connected device. The at least one first connector is removably coupled to the at least one second connector, thereby removably coupling the second charging portion to the first charging portion to facilitate transmission of electrical current between the first charging portion and the second charging portion.
