Abstract: A variable shelf organizer for merchandising products therefrom capable of being assembled to accommodate any shelf width and any product dimension including a substantially flat product supporting floor member having a plurality of channel-like spaces associated therewith for cooperatively receiving any one of a plurality of divider members, each divider member being selectively engageable with the channel-like spaces to form any number of segregated product guide channels for arranging products therebetween, the width of each such product guide channel being selectively adjustable by engaging the respective divider members forming the same with different pairs of the channel-like spaces thereby varying the distance between any two adjacent divider members.

Abstract: A contact lens case having a container for liquid solution, a tray which fits into the container and having a substantially flat portion for the contact lens to rest on and an annular beveled outer portion for retarding the outward movement of the lens. A dividing perpendicular bar extending upwardly from the top of the tray and serves both to separate the right lens from the left lens and to act as a handle for lifting the tray. The tray forms apertures adjacent to or in rear proximity to the bar and other apertures to form the letter "L" on one side of the bar and the letter "R" on the other side. A removable cap forms ridges on its inside to prevent the creation of suction between it and the concave side of a lens.

Abstract: A cover for enclosing the open top of a container, such as a liquid waste receptacle. The cover comprises an annular support dimensioned to fit generally coaxially within the open top of the container. The annular support defines an opening for passage of materials therethrough and into the container. The cover further comprises a mechanism for releasably securing the annular support to the upper edge margin of the container, a straining element in the annular support having a straining area coextensive with substantially the entire area of the opening in the annulaar support for straining solid objects of a predetermined maximum dimension from entry into the container while permitting entry of liquids through the opening and into the container, a lid dimensioned for covering the opening in the annular support, and a hinge for securing the lid to the annular support.

Abstract: A portable book holder which is comprised of two interlocking portions which fold into a flat configuration for easy storage and carrying. The portable book holder may include supports to keep the reading material from sliding off the holder. The portable book holder maintains the book or other reading material at a convenient angle tipped up from the horizontal for easy reading and permits the open pages to lay at a wide angle to permit ready visual excess to both left and right hand pages.

Abstract: Golf course aesthetics and golf course maintenance procedures are enhanced by the use of a novel compact rake head that is detachably secured to the golfer's sand wedge to smooth the surface of sand traps following sand shots. The use of the rake head permits the removal of the hundreds of conventional rakes which are typically positioned around the sand traps on a golf course and permits the maintenance of the sand traps and the grass adjacent the sand traps by the golf course maintenance crew without regard to the continuous moving of conventional rakes.

Abstract: A comfortable, selectively removable earring comprises a decorative ornament portion, a heat and cold insulating as well as soft felt backing layer and a piece of two-sided adhesive-like tape. The felt backing is permanently secured to the earring ornament. The two-sided adhesive-like tape is overlayed on top of the felt backing. When desired to be worn, the wearer removes the paper covering from the exterior side of the two-sided adhesive-like tape to reveal the sticky adhesive. The earring can then be pressed against the ear and secured in place. It can be easily peeled off, as desired. For subsequent wearings of the earring, another piece of two side adhesive-like tape is overlayed onto the prior-used adhesive. Alternatively, the used adhesive can be removed from the felt backing and replaced with a new piece of two-sided adhesive-like tape.

Abstract: In order to enhance the aesthetics of the interior of a home or building, a fabric column kit and system is disclosed. The fabric column kit or system includes at least a pair and, preferably, a plurality of fabric supports which may advantageously be of different sizes and/or shapes wherein the supports are adapted for selected positioning in spaced apart relation in compatible pairs. The fabric supports are fixedly mounted to a rigid surface in selected positions. The fabric column kit or system also includes at least a pair and preferably a plurality of rings which may advantageously be of different sizes and/or shapes wherein the rings are adapted to releasably secure opposite ends of a fabric to the respective ones of the fabric supports. With the fabric column kit or system, a fabric column may be formed between the fabric supports to aesthetically enhance the interior space of any building structure.

Abstract: A method for converting a barrel type unit into an assembly for holding chilled products, particularly, barrel units having an upper annular portion of a smaller circumference as compared to other annular portions thereof, the barrel unit also including top and bottom end closure walls, the method including supplying a kit of separate components including a tub member for holding ice and product positioned therein, and a sizing device for determining the proper location for severing the barrel side wall, the tub member having an annular support flange associated with the upper portion thereof for cooperatively engaging with a peripheral edge portion of the barrel unit when the barrel unit is severed at a particular location therearound, the sizing device enabling a user to locate the particular location on the barrel side wall at which to sever the same such that the annular edge resulting therefrom will be compatible with the annular support flange associated with the tub member.

Abstract: A cap having a body which may be insertably mounted into the open top of a container and form a fluid-tight seal therewith an interior cavity, and a valve aperture positioned to fluidly communicate with the interior cavity and the receptacle portion of the container when the cap is mounted thereon. A valve member slidably carried on a valve post is disposed across the valve aperture, thereby normally sealing the valve aperture. The valve post may be moved to selectively open the valve aperture by depressing a thumb pad, and will automatically return to the closed position when the thumb pad is not being pressed due to the action of a spring. One or more enclosed spouts are molded integrally with the cap body, and fluidly communicate with the interior cavity. These spouts may be positioned at the sides, rather than the front, of the containers.

Abstract: A simple device for separating pans of food stored in a vertical array, preventing the contents of the pan below from contacting the bottom of the pan above. The pan stacking device is used two at a time along with conventional food storage pans as commonly found in the food preparation industry. The ends of the devices include preferably intermittent or staggered shoulders for fitting snugly to the flange rims of the pan below and the outer surface of the pan above, thereby maintaining the stacked pans in relatively sturdy, stable position. The preferred embodiment of the pan stacking device is adjustable so as to fit food storage pans and containers of various sizes.

Abstract: The present invention is an instrument for cutting or gripping articles. The instrument comprises two shanks, with each shank having a handle end and a working end. The shanks are connected by at least two pivot means located between the handle and the working end of each shank. Each pivot means is secured into one or the other shank. The opposing shank has a channel through which each corresponding means passes. Preferably, the pivots and channels are located to close the working ends of each shank towards each other when the handles are pivotally rotated towards each other.
