Patent number: 4968986Abstract: A wide bandwidth analog-to-digital converter and method. The input analog signal is supplied to a plurality (N) of parallel channels, each of which includes a modulator for modulating the incoming analog signal in each channel with a different time phased sampling signal. A filter having bandwidths which reject the sum product of the modulator and all frequencies above a predetermined level and passes the filtered signal directly to an analog-to-digital converter and a sampling signal supplied to these converters are at a rate which is predetermined fraction (depending on the number of channels) of the normal rate.Type: GrantFiled: October 6, 1988Date of Patent: November 6, 1990Assignee: Ideas, Inc.Inventor: T. Patent number: 4801025Abstract: An adjustable shelf unit adaptable to be supported on a support structure including frangible side and rear portions which can be easily detachably removed therefrom for adjusting both the depth and/or width of the unit to facilitate use on existing shelf structures having varying depths and widths. Removal of one or both of the frangible side portions provides shelf width adjustment whereas removal of the frangible rear portion provides shelf depth adjustment. The present shelf units are specifically designed for use both as a single shelf unit to more effectively organize and merchandise products therefrom and are likewise particularly adapted to be arranged in spaced apart relationship one above the other to form a two-tier product merchandising display system, which two-tier arrangement effectively doubles the avilable shelf capacity.Type: GrantFiled: September 12, 1986Date of Patent: January 31, 1989Assignee: Paul Flum Ideas, Inc.Inventors: Paul L. Patent number: 4610363Abstract: A container assembly for storage and display of articles formed of a plurality of parts that can be stored and shipped in substantially flat form and that can be assembled to a three-dimensional form thereby both storing the articles that are for sale and representing a display of one of the articles. A cylindrical body comprises two or more body panels preferably of resilient plastic biasing the panels toward a normally flat condition. Cooperative elongated interlocking channel members for locking the body panels together at adjacent side edges to form the cylinder. The channels are formed to interfit readily when the body panel margins adjacent the edges are substantially coplanar. The pressure biasing the body panels toward a flat position locks the interlocking channels together when the panels are curved to form a cylinder.Type: GrantFiled: March 4, 1985Date of Patent: September 9, 1986Assignee: Paul Flum Ideas, Inc.Inventors: Paul Flum, Jerry M. Patent number: 4546237Abstract: A single cup electric heating device for heating a cup of tea, coffee or the like includes a generally vertically oriented mounting support having a flat rear surface adapted to be mounted on the wall of a motel room, hotel room or the like. The mounting support has a horizontal cup holder at its lower end for supporting the cup to be heated. Cooperating guides on the cover and sides of the mounting support slidably guide the cover for shifting movement between a raised position permitting a cup to be placed on the cup holder and a lowered position covering a cup so placed. An electric immersion heating element carried by the cover is immersed in the contents of the cup when the cover is in the lowered position and is energized by cooperating electrical contacts on the cover and mounting support which engage in the lowered cover position. An electromagnetic retaining mechanism simultaneously energized with the heating element retains the cover in its lowered position.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 1983Date of Patent: October 8, 1985Assignee: Service Ideas, Inc.Inventor: Harry F.
