Abstract: A method for fabricating a semiconductor device is provided using a nickel salicide process. The method includes forming a gate pattern and a source/drain region on a silicon substrate, forming a Ni-based metal layer for silicide on the silicon substrate where the gate pattern and the source/drain region are formed, and forming an N-rich titanium nitride layer on the Ni-based metal layer for silicide. Next, a thermal treatment is applied to the silicon substrate where the Ni-based metal layer for silicide and the N-rich titanium nitride layer are formed, thereby forming a nickel silicide on each of the gate pattern and the source/drain region. Then, the Ni-based metal layer for silicide and the N-rich titanium nitride layer are selectively removed to expose a top portion of a nickel silicide layer formed on the gate pattern and the source/drain region.

Abstract: A technique for positioning a semiconductor chip and a mounting substrate with high precision using an alignment mark. In a semiconductor chip, a mark is formed in an alignment mark formation region over a semiconductor substrate in the same layer as an uppermost layer wiring (third layer wiring) in an integrated circuit formation region. Then, in the lower layer of the mark and a background region surrounding the mark, patterns are formed. Pattern P1a is formed in the same layer as a second layer wiring, pattern P1b is formed in the same layer as a first layer wiring, pattern P2 is formed in the same layer as a gate electrode, and pattern P3 is formed in the same layer as an element isolation region.
Abstract: Disclosed herein are an organic memory device and a method for fabricating the memory device. The organic memory device may include a first electrode, a second electrode and an organic active layer between first and second electrodes, wherein the organic active layer is formed of a mixture of a conductive polymer and a metallocene compound. Because the organic memory device possesses decreased switching time, decreased operating voltage, decreased fabrication costs and increased reliability, the organic memory device may be used as a highly integrated large-capacity memory device.

Abstract: A device and method for delivering a fluid in the form of a high-speed micro-jet includes a container for accommodating a fluid which is to be delivered through an orifice of the container, and an actuator cooperating with the container. The actuator includes a thin-film transducer membrane, where the transducer membrane is divided into at least two transducer elements. The transducer elements form a transducer array in which each transducer element corresponds to a certain portion of the transducer membrane.
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, during formation of the interconnection board, the interconnection board remains securely fixed to a high rigidity plate being higher in rigidity than the interconnection board for suppressing the interconnection board from being bent.
Abstract: An etching stopper film is formed on top of a first insulating film. The etching stopper film is a film formed by depositing at least two films, made of constituent materials identical in quality to each other, one another. Subsequently, a first opening pattern is formed in the etching stopper film. Subsequently, a second insulating film is formed on top of the etching stopper film. Subsequently, a mask pattern is formed on top of the second insulating film. Subsequently, the second insulating film is etched with the use of the mask pattern as a mask to be followed by etching of the first insulating film with the use of the etching stopper film as a mask.
Abstract: A semiconductor memory device includes a memory cell array, which includes a cell array having multiple cell blocks. Each cell block includes source and word lines arranged in one direction, bit lines arranged in a perpendicular direction, and memory cells having corresponding floating bodies. Adjacent memory cells share source or drain regions to form common source or drain regions, respectively. The source regions are arranged in a word line direction and connected to corresponding source lines, and the drain regions are arranged in the bit line direction and connected to corresponding bit lines. Gates of the memory cells are arranged in the word line direction and are connected to form the word lines. The source lines are formed on a layer of the word lines, and the bit lines are formed at a different layer to be insulated from the word and source lines.
Abstract: A wireless transmitter and receiver increase a desired/unwanted (D/U) ratio of a correlation output without increasing the number of data in an ultra-wideband direct spread pulse communication system for transmitting and receiving two series of data through different spreading code streams. In the spreading codes used in matched filters of the wireless transmitter, (2*N?2)-th and (2*N)-th values of a cross-correlation signal between first and second spreading codes are greater than 0, (2*N?3)-th and (2*N+1)-th values of an auto-correlation signal of the first spreading code are less than 0, and (2*N?3)-th and (2*N+1)-th values of an auto-correlation signal of the second spreading code are less than 0. The peak value of the cross-correlation signal does not need to be small, and since a value other than the peak value does not become large, the D/U ratio can increase.
Abstract: A data buffering device which contains an input unit adapted to sequentially receive a two-dimensional array of data structures organized by an index pair with a first index stepwise traversing first-index values in a meandering manner defined by a first and a second meandering direction. Abstract: A mechanism to enable multiple message threads management in the context of the Converged IP Messaging (CPM) service and in the context of CPM inter-working with SMS is provided. A CPM user can simply start a message-based conversation with another CPM or Short Message Service (SMS) user without explicitly establishing a session beforehand. All messages that belong to a given conversation are displayed in the corresponding conversational view (i.e. window) in the CPM user device, even if the conversation is stopped and restarted at a later time, and even if there are multiple message threads available (currently active or stored) in the CPM device. Message structures and behavior of the CPM system elements to enable the functionalities above as well as a mechanism makes the message threads management possible even between a CPM user and an SMS user are also provided.
