Abstract: Polymer compositions containing conjugated diene monovinylarene block copolymers and styrenic thermoplastic elastomers are disclosed. These compositions can be used to produce tubing having superior kink resistance properties, and can be a replacement for flexible PVC in various end-use applications, such as in sheet products, film products, tubing products, and adhesive products.

Abstract: The invention relates to thermoplastic moulding materials based on acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, comprising a SAN-polymer matrix and a graft copolymer, structured from an agglomerated butadiene rubber-graft base and a SAN-graft envelope. The agglomerated graft base has a bimodal particle size distribution of a fraction x) of non-agglomerated particles having a d50-value in the range from 80 to 120 nm and a fraction y) of agglomerated particles having a d50-value in the range from 350 to 550 nm and a polydispersity U of less than 0.28. The invention further relates to a method for producing the graft copolymer, wherein an acrylate copolymer having a polydispersity U of less than 0.27 and a d50-value of 100 to 150 nm is used for agglomeration. The invention further relates to the use of thermoplastic moulding materials for producing moulded parts.

Abstract: A method for extruding thermoplastic molding compounds, the production of thermoplastic molding compounds taking place in a screw machine with mechanical dewatering, and impact-modified molding compounds or polymer blends which contain impact-modified thermoplastic materials that were produced by means of the method according to the invention.
Abstract: The invention relates to thermoplastic molding materials based on acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, comprising a SAN-polymer matrix and a graft copolymer, structured from an agglomerated rubber-graft base and a SAN-graft envelope. The basis of the graft base is a diene rubber having a vinyl-aromatic ratio of 10.5 to 24.5 wt %. The agglomerated graft base has a bimodal particle size distribution of a fraction x) of non-agglomerated particles having a d50-value in the range from 80 to 120 nm and a fraction y) of agglomerated particles having a d50-value in the range of 350 to 550 nm and a polydispersity U of less than 0.28. Abstract: Thermoplastic moulding compositions containing: from 55 to 85% by weight of a copolymer A composed of styrene and acrylonitrile, from 10 to 40% by weight of at least one graft copolymer B composed of B1: from 50 to 80% by weight, preferably from 60 to 70% by weight, of crosslinked acrylate polymer B1 with average particle diameter from 300 to 700 nm as graft base B1, B2: a first graft shell B2 made of from 5 to 30 of a vinylaromatic monomer B21, and B3: a second graft shell B3 made of from 15 to 40 of a mixture of vinylaromatic monomers B31 and nitrile monomers B32, where these are present in a ratio by weight of from 4:1 to 3:2, and from 0 to 5% by weight of additives and/or auxiliaries C, have particular mechanical properties when the content of acrylonitrile in the copolymer component A and the content of acrylonitrile in the graft shell B3 differ by at least 8% by weight.
