Abstract: A method for disseminating Early Warning Messages (EWMs) to subscriber terminals by an Early Warning Unit (EWU) in a mobile communication network is provided. The method comprises identifying at least one base station in a first region and sending a trigger signal to the identified base station for initiating the dissemination of the EWMs. The method further comprises sending an invitation request to one or more peer base stations in a second region and receiving subscriber details from one or more base stations. The method furthermore comprises selectively disseminating the EWMs to the one or more subscriber terminals based on location details of the subscriber terminals using a grid computing architecture. The grid computing architecture facilitates parallel dissemination of the EWMs to the one or more subscriber terminals by splitting the subscriber details into one or more data fragments.

Abstract: A method for handling cross-cutting concerns at business level while developing enterprise application is disclosed. The method identifies the common variation requirements for the common cross cutting business concerns. The method then identifies the architecture strategies to enable identified variations and based on those strategies define an architecture with well defined variation points and finally define mechanisms for bundling such variations. The proposed solution describes how business aspects can be developed for applying cross cutting business concerns using the Infosys RADIEN Framework.

Abstract: The invention describes a test bed, a method and a computer program product for testing an application installed on a wireless communication device. The wireless communication device communicates with a server over a network through the test bed. Further, the test bed is connected to the server and receives various testing parameters from a user. Furthermore, the test bed establishes a wireless connection between the test bed and the wireless communication device. Thereafter, the test bed emulates various network conditions, based on the testing parameters, and subsequently communicates the emulated network conditions to the wireless communication device. The application installed on the wireless communication device experiences the emulated network conditions. The user then tests the application in the emulated network conditions.

Abstract: A system and method for pricing software service requests is provided. The method includes entering input details corresponding to a clients' software service usage data. The method further includes calculating a cost per ticket for each severity level of the software service request. A margin for each severity level is assigned to each severity level in the order of increasing severity. Thereafter, a price per software service request is calculated for each severity level using the corresponding margin. Additionally, the method includes determining an optimal staffing scheme corresponding to one or more software services.

Abstract: A framework for supporting transition of one or more applications of an organization is provided. The one or more applications are transitioned from a first set of users to a second set of users. The framework includes a transition module, a knowledge capture module, a knowledge validation module, and a collaboration module. The transition module generates one or more transition plans based on information corresponding to the one or more applications. The knowledge capture module captures a plurality of knowledge elements corresponding to the one or more applications. The knowledge capture module further establishes association between the plurality of knowledge elements. The knowledge validation module validates the plurality of knowledge elements and their association. The collaboration module provides collaboration between the first set of users and the second set of users during the transition of the one or more applications.

Abstract: A system and method for consolidating a plurality of resources on a plurality of data processing units (DPUs) in a data processing network is provided. The method includes selecting a first DPU having a highest DPU volume among the plurality of DPUs. The method further includes calculating an angle made by a first DPU vector of the first DPU with a horizontal dimension of a multi-dimensional chart using first DPU co-ordinates from the plurality of DPU co-ordinates. Further, the method includes calculating an angle made by a first resource vector of a first resource to be assigned to the first DPU with a horizontal dimension of the multi-dimensional chart. Thereafter, the first resource is assigned to the first DPU, when a deviation of the first resource vector from the first DPU vector is minimum among the plurality of resources.

Abstract: A method for adaptive data masking of a database is provided. The method comprises extracting data from a first database and providing one or more predefined rules for masking the extracted data. The method further comprises masking a first portion of extracted data using a trained Artificial Neural Network (ANN), where the ANN is trained for masking at least one database having properties similar to the first database. The masked and unmasked data is aggregated to arrive at an output structurally similar to the extracted data. The method furthermore comprises determining a deviation value between the arrived output and expected output of the extracted data, and adapting the trained ANN automatically according to data masking requirements of the first database, if the deviation value is more than a predefined value.

Abstract: A method for processing a distributed query in a network of computational resources is provided. The method includes receiving a user-defined freshness criterion and a distributed query from a user. The user-defined data freshness criterion is based on the version of the distributed query results desired by the user. An integrated cost model is formulated to optimize the execution of the distributed query. The integrated cost model is based on one or more integrated cost model factors. Thereafter, an objective function is constructed, based on the processing cost for each of the one or more copies of the one or more relations, and a data transmission cost for the transfer of the one or more copies of the one or more relations from a first to a second computational resource. Subsequently, an optimal solution of the objective function is calculated by using one or more heuristic approaches.

Abstract: A method and system for parallel query processing is provided. The method includes estimating a number of sub-queries that may be formed corresponding to an input query. The method further includes fragmenting the input query into a plurality of sub queries by adding one or more filter predicates to the input query without altering the semantics of the input query. Further, processing of the sub queries is scheduled. Thereafter, one or more query execution plans are generated and processed. Following the processing of the query execution plans, the results of the processed sub queries are collated, aggregated and presented in a required format.

Abstract: A knowledge tracking and analysis system and method. The method may include: an artifact evaluator that receives various use parameters for each knowledge artifact, operates on the received use parameters, and generates respective parameter scores; and a knowledge index calculator that compiles parameter scores and generates a knowledge index indicative of use of the knowledge entities during the project. The system and method allow analysis and tracking of knowledge artifacts in future projects.

Abstract: A method for delivering location based information in wireless zone is disclosed. All the location based information is stored in the access point itself thus eliminating the need for backend server. Access point has the intelligence to deliver information in customized to each requesting device's display capability. To provide seamless access to local information the user will get a default web page once the device connects to access point and tries to access internet. This web page will act as a gateway to all the location based information available in the access point. Along with location based information advertisements can also be delivered to the end user in a very cost effective and targeted manner.

Abstract: A method for providing value added services to a user terminal by an access point in a wireless network is provided. The method comprises intercepting a request initiated by a user terminal for accessing information. The method further comprises determining if the request is a local search request. If the request is a local search request, then location information is appended to the request. Location specific search results are rendered on the user terminal.

Abstract: A method to perform a diagnostic test in an integrated support platform having a plurality of services is disclosed. The method includes a process of building at least one or more knowledge model for each of the plurality of services in the integrated support platform. The process of building the knowledge model includes determining one or more failure(s) of each component and at least one associated symptom to identify the one or more failures and constructing a framework for the diagnostic test associated to the one or more failures. The framework comprising the diagnostic test may be created by at least one of an execution plan based on the most efficient path for determining the failure. The method further includes performing the diagnostic test for resolving one or more failures of each component by using the framework based on the built knowledge model for the plurality of services.

Abstract: A method and system to authenticate human interactive proof (HIP) are described here. In response to a request from a web server, a motion random HIP in the form of motion-captcha is generated. The web server can then display the generated the motion random HIP in a requested web page. The web page is accompanied with a request from the user to provide the response for the generated motion captcha. After evaluation and verification of response received from the particular user, the authentication system determine whether the response to the HIP challenge is from human or from other source like computer software scripted agent.

The governance module manages the organizational requirements related to the implementation of the framework. The delivery module manages the delivery of the processed business data to the BUs. The process module, the operations and support module, the governance module and the delivery module are implemented, based on the architecture module. The framework is used as a Business Intelligence Competency Center (BICC) for providing real-time BI solutions to BUs.
