Abstract: An ultrasound transmission circuit comprises a pulse generating circuit, a feedback circuit and a processing circuit. The feedback circuit outputs a trigger signal according to a first pulse signal arriving at an ultrasound transducer. The processing circuit records a first time point at which the first pulse signal is generated, and records a second time point at which the first pulse signal arrives the ultrasound transducer according to the trigger signal. The processing circuit adjusts a first delay value according to a variance between the first time point and the second time point to generate a second delay value, and drives the pulse generating circuit according to the second delay value to generate a second pulse signal.

Abstract: Phosphorylation of histones was observed at certain tyrosine residues which have not been associated with epigenetic modification. These sites include H2B Tyr37, H4 Tyr88 and Tyr51 and H3 Tyr99. Kinases responsible for the phosphorylation as well as downstream genes regulated by such phosphorylation were also identified. Antibodies that are specific to such phosphorylated histones have been generated, which are useful for detecting the phosphorylation and related events. With such findings, the present disclosure provides compositions and methods for disease diagnosis, prognosis and therapy selection, in particular for cancer, obesity and diabetes.

Abstract: Composite separators having a porous structure and including acid-stable, hydrophilic, inorganic particles enmeshed in a substantially fully fluorinated polyolefin matrix can be utilized in a number of applications. The inorganic particles can provide hydrophilic characteristics. The pores of the separator result in good selectivity and electrical conductivity. The fluorinated polymeric backbone can result in high chemical stability. Accordingly, one application of the composite separators is in redox flow batteries as low cost membranes. In such applications, the composite separator can also enable additional property-enhancing features compared to ion-exchange membranes. For example, simple capacity control can be achieved through hydraulic pressure by balancing the volumes of electrolyte on each side of the separator.

Abstract: A method for quasi-synchronous tuning of wavelength or frequency of grating external-cavity semiconductor laser and a corresponding semiconductor laser are provided. A grating or mirror is rotated around a quasi-synchronous tuning point (Pq) as rotation center, so as to achieve the frequency selections by grating and resonance cavity in quasi-synchronous tuning, wherein the angle of the line between the quasi-synchronous tuning point (Pq) and a conventional synchronous tuning point (P0) with respect to the direction of light incident on the grating is determined according to the angle difference between the incidence angle and diffraction angle of light on the grating. According to present invention, approximately synchronous tuning of laser is achieved with a simple and flexible design.

Abstract: A method for analyzing a shape of a 3D model based on perceptive information comprises: decomposing the shape of the 3D model to generate decomposition results; and extracting a skeleton from the decomposition results. This invention can be applied to shape decomposition of objects having different shapes. The 3D models can be regular or with noise, containing either multiple annular structures or no annular structure. The decomposition method of this invention is not sensitive to noise, and the segmentation speed is high and accurate. The segmentation result of the invention can be widely applied to different branches of computer graphics and computer vision, such as computer animation, modeling, shape analysis, shape classification, object identification, etc. The skeleton extracted from the decomposition result and the following shape semantic description diagram can he applied to 3D model retrieval, model semantic analysis and so on.
