Abstract: The present invention relates to a DNA sequencing method using a nucleoside triphosphate with a fluorescent blocking group on its 3?-OH end as a reversible terminator. Further, the present invention relates to sequencing-by-synthesis method using the mono-modified reversible terminator (MRT), the novel nucleotide monomer having a reversible fluorescent blocking group removable chemically or enzymatically at its 3?-OH end. The sequencing method of the present invention facilitates sequencing of bases inserted by terminating extension of a nucleotide chain by the nucleotide monomer and then detecting fluorescence signal from 3?-OH end. At this time, after analyzing the fluorescence signal, the blocking group conjugated to the 3?-OH end can be effectively removed, indicating that a free 3?-OH functional group can be successfully restored, so that the next monomer insertion is possible, making continuous sequencing possible.

Abstract: A “proton precession magnetometer sensor capable of all-direction measurement” according to the present invention, in which frequency of current induced in a coil by flowing and then breaking current in the coil is measured to calculate strength of an external magnetic field, is characterized in that the coil is a toroid coil. Alternatively, the coil may be achieved by two solenoid coils connected perpendicularly, or N solenoid coils connected in the form of a polygon, where N is an integer of 3 or more. The proton precession magnetometer sensor is capable of measuring the external magnetic field in all directions since there is no dead band, and is convenient since there is no need of adjusting the sensor to a certain direction when measuring magnetic force. Further, the present invention will bring accumulation of key original technology applicable to various cases in practice through development of improved impedance matching and power consumption optimization in future practice.

Abstract: An input system and a method for an electronic device based on Chinese phonetic notation are provided. The input system includes a plurality of keys, a detecting unit, a filtering unit and a candidate character output unit. The keys are respectively arranged on two sides of a screen of the electronic device, and each of the keys respectively corresponding to two phonetic notation sets. Every time the detecting unit detects an operation on any of the keys, one of the phonetic notation sets corresponding to the operated key is chosen according to a direction of the operation. The filtering unit permutes the contents of all chosen phonetic notation sets so as to obtain at least one meaningful pronunciation. And according to a Chinese character database and the meaningful pronunciations, the candidate character output unit outputs at least one candidate character on the screen.

Abstract: Compositions and methods, including vaccines and pharmaceutical compositions for inducing or enhancing an immune response are disclosed based on the discovery of useful immunological adjuvant properties in a synthetic, glucopyranosyl lipid adjuvant (GLA) that is provided in substantially homogeneous form. Chemically defined, synthetic GLA offers a consistent vaccine component from lot to lot without the fluctuations in contaminants or activity that compromise natural-product adjuvants. Also provided are vaccines and pharmaceutical compositions that include GLA and one or more of an antigen, a Toll-like receptor (TLR) agonist, a co-adjuvant and a carrier such as a pharmaceutical carrier.
