Abstract: Disclosed herein is a test apparatus for early landslide detection fully-connected with pore water pressure, surface displacement and shear surface. The test apparatus calculates a factor of safety of a slope based on variation in pore water pressure, surface displacement and shear surface of a soil mass, and predicts a change in factor of safety, thus making early landslide detection possible. In the test apparatus, while a container of a slider is moved with a soil mass loaded into the container, shear surface and surface displacement environment is provided, and the shear strength and the shear stress of the soil mass can be calculated based on the pore water pressure and the weight of the soil mass. Thereby, the factor of safety of the soil mass can be calculated, and early landslide detection can be realized by using variation of the factor of safety of the slope.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for transmitting data using a human body. The apparatus includes a parallel bit stream generation unit, a frequency selective spreading unit, a matched filter unit, and a transmission filter unit. The parallel bit stream generation unit outputs a parallel bit stream for an input serial bit stream. The frequency selective spreading unit divides the parallel bit stream into a preset number of bit groups, generates a single code vector by combining orthogonal code vectors corresponding to the respective bit groups, and shifts the center frequency of a transmission signal by spreading the single code vector using a frequency shift code. The transmission filter unit meets a transmit mask for the transmission signal.

Abstract: A sliding screen valve for controlling fluid flow comprises a multi-apertured valve plate (50, 90) configured for sliding movement relative to a multi-apertured valve seat between closed and open configurations and comprises an array of apertures (60, 100) separated from one another by elongate interstitial elements angled at between 15 to 45 degrees from the axis of motion. The valve plate may be operatively connected via an actuator frame (274) controlling its movement to an actuator for sliding movement relative to the valve seat, and may be connected to the actuator via a resilient support element (272) configured to allow a floating movement of the valve plate normal to the valve plate. Initiation or termination of the sliding movement may be damped by at least one damping mechanism. The screen valve may be configured for lateral reciprocating movement and be used in gas compression and/or expansion equipment such as piston compressors or expanders.
Abstract: A motor control device including a preprocessing portion calculating a counter electromotive force using an analog operation is provided. The motor control device may include an offset compensation portion and a counter electromotive force measuring portion. The offset compensation portion receives a three-phase current signal from the motor and compensates an offset of the three-phase current signal. The counter electromotive force measuring portion receives the compensated current signal and a three-phase voltage signal from the motor and calculates the received current signal and the received voltage signal using an analog operation to provide the calculated result.

Abstract: A computing device to select decorrelated variables using a graph based method is provided. A correlation value is computed between each pair of a plurality of variables to define a correlation matrix. Abstract: An optical encoder includes a light emitting module, a positioning device and a light separating structure. The light emitting module emits a light beam illuminating an illumination area of the positioning device. The positioning device includes light penetrating areas arranged in a dislocation manner. The light penetrating areas sequentially move into the illumination area. The light separating structure is disposed in the path of the light beam. The positioning device is disposed between the light emitting module and the light separating structure. When part of the light beam penetrates one of these light penetrating areas and is transmitted to the light separating structure, the light separating structure transmits the light to a sensing area and forms at least one first positioning optical pattern. The distance between two first positioning optical patterns formed by two adjacent light penetrating areas is greater than the pitch between the two adjacent light penetrating areas.

Abstract: A device for accessing web services uses a service interface and a conversion and interpretation unit to implement a method which simplifies the access interface of wave services. The service interface includes an upload element, a download element and a command element. With the conversion and interpretation unit, the data and the command of web pages are converted and interpreted as the contents of the three elements. The contents are converted into web page documents and forwarded to a network platform for further processing associated tasks. The presentation on the service interface may replace the browsers and achieve the function of supporting the participation-typed service. It simplifies the complexity on the network access interface, and can access different services provided by different servers.
