  • Patent number: 9356442
Abstract: Electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection is provided by a charge-latching power-to-ground clamp circuit. A filter capacitor and resistor generate a filter voltage that is buffered by three stages to drive the gate of a BigFET such as a large n-channel transistor. A transmission gate between the stages turns off when BigFET turns on, causing charge to be latched. The filter capacitor can then discharge while the BigFET remains on. A leaker resistor slowly discharges the gate of the large BigFET and turns the transmission gate back on when the BigFET turns off after shunting the ESD current. The length of time that the clamp shunts the ESD current is determined by the leaker resistor and gate capacitance of the BigFET, not by the filter capacitor, so a small filter capacitor may be used.

  • Patent number: 9354047
Abstract: A rotational misalignment between semiconductor wafers constituting a bonded wafer is calculated. A light source is arranged at a position which is on a front side of an opening of a notch and which is separated from an outer edge portion of a bonded wafer by a predetermined interval, and outputs light to irradiate the outer edge portion of the bonded wafer including the notch. A camera receives and photoelectrically converts reflected light that is specularly-reflected by the outer edge portion of the bonded wafer including the notch among the light outputted by the light source in order to output a brightness distribution of the reflected light as an image. A computer analyzes positions of notches from the image outputted by the camera to obtain a notch position misalignment, and further calculates a rotational misalignment between semiconductor wafers using a center position misalignment between the semiconductor wafers.

Abstract: A home base station and method for supporting a plurality of cells under carrier aggregation. The home base station includes a preamble generator and a preamble monitor. The preamble generator allocates respective random access resources in the cells for handover to be carried out by a user equipment (UE), and upon receiving a handover request signal transmitted by a Mobility Management Entity (MME), generates a specific preamble and its transmission time, so that the UE performs random access on the cells based on the preamble and the transmission time to obtain the random access resources and sends out a Random Access Preamble (RAP). The preamble monitor enables the cells to simultaneously monitor the RAP sent by the UE, and when one of the cells receiving the RAP, identifies the cell on which the UE camps based on which one of the cells that has the RAP.
