  • Publication number: 20160042988
Abstract: An adapter is provided which is used when a process for a small-diameter semiconductor substrate (small substrate) is performed by using a semiconductor manufacturing apparatus for large-diameter silicon substrates. The small substrate is attached to an adapter plate that compensates for differences in size, so that the small substrate is prevented from falling even when the small substrate is in a vertical or inverted direction. To process the small substrate with the semiconductor manufacturing apparatus for large-diameter silicon substrates, an opening 10 is formed in a transferring base portion 1, which is formed of a large-diameter silicon substrate, and a polyimide film 2 is attached to the rear surface of the transferring base portion 1, so that the small substrate can be retained by a vacuum chuck or an electrostatic chuck.

  • Publication number: 20160038641
Abstract: Compositions of small molecules, matrices, and isolated cells including methods of preparation, and methods for differentiation, transdifferentiation, and proliferation of animal cells into the osteoblast blast cell lineage were described. Examples of osteogenic materials that were administered to cells or co-cultured with cells are represented by compounds of Formula II, IV, and VI independently or preferably in combination with a matrix to afford bone cells. Small molecule-stimulated cells were also combined with a matrix, placed with a cellular adhesive or material carrier and implanted to a site in an animal for bone repair. Matrix pretreated with compounds of Formula II, IV, and VI were also used to cause cells to migrate to the matrix that is of use for therapeutic purposes.

  • Patent number: 9257713
Abstract: A solid oxide fuel cell system has a carbon monoxide generator using ash-free coal or graphite, which includes a carbon supply unit, a carbon dioxide supply unit, a carbon monoxide generating unit, and a fuel cell unit. The carbon monoxide generating unit supplies CO to the anode of the fuel cell unit, and CO2 discharged from the fuel cell unit is recycled to the carbon dioxide supply unit. Because ash-free coal or graphite is used, a separate reformer does not need to be used, and thus energy can be produced with high efficiency even at low costs. Because CO2 discharged from the solid oxide fuel cell, which uses carbon monoxide as a fuel, after a fuel cell reaction, is reused as reactant gas, carbon dioxide is not emitted into the atmosphere. Gasification can be smoothly achieved by the carbon monoxide generating unit including heating powder or a heating reaction chamber.

  • Patent number: 9255774
Abstract: A series of small explosive charges are used to preferentially crack the casing of a warhead to provide for a controlled fragmentation of the warhead. During detonation of the warhead's explosive fill, the casing will break early in the process along pre-determined lines resulting in very large fragments that are projected towards the ground and away from innocent civilians. A fragmentation control collar which contacts these charges can be fitted on the outside of existing warheads. An annular liner within the warhead aids in the controlled fragmentation.
