    Abstract: Disclosed is a carrier management method for use in a carrier aggregation environment of a mobile communication system. In the method, a base station is configured to transmit a deactivation message for a secondary carrier to a terminal and change the secondary carrier to a deactivation state after a predetermined time from the transmission of the deactivation message. The terminal receives the deactivation message transmitted by the base station, and changes the secondary carrier to the deactivation state after a predetermined time from the transmission of the deactivation message. As the predetermined time, a predefined value may be used to prevent inconsistency of secondary-carrier state information that is managed by the base station and the terminal. If the carrier state management information is used, it is possible to prevent inconsistency of secondary-carrier states that are managed by the base station and the terminal and solve problems due to the inconsistency.

According to such a configuration, a portable radiation dosimeter that is compact and can manage the radiation exposure dose for a long term without placing a burden on the wearer can be realized.

In at least one implementation, a feedback time slot is selected based upon probabilities that a plurality of data packets will be successfully distributed to a plurality of destination nodes by various future time slots. These probabilities may be estimated based on, for example, packet erasure probabilities in the network. In some implementations, only destination nodes that have not yet successfully received a plurality of data packets are permitted to transmit feedback during feedback time slots.

    Abstract: An environmentally benign method for producing binary microfabrication masks is disclosed. An optical target may be provided that includes a water-soluble polymer material in contact with an ultraviolet radiation transmittable substrate. A laser may be focused on a primary mask to produce a mask image, the mask image thereafter being reduced by demagnification optics to provide a reduced image. The optical target may be exposed to the reduced image to create features of reduced size from the primary mask. The water-soluble polymer exposed to the ultraviolet radiation may be ablated from the optical target. The optical target may be subsequently metalized using a metal vapor to coat the remaining polymer material and exposed substrate. The metalized optical target may be contacted with an aqueous fluid to remove the metalized polymer material leaving the binary mask.

    Abstract: A method for testing mainframe performance of different types of PD detectors based on analog voltage signal injection, the method comprises: using a function generator (19) with an adjustable output frequency of 0 to 3.5 GHz and an adjustable output amplitude of 0 to 10V, directly injecting or injecting via a DC blocking element (28) with a frequency band of 10 kHz to 10 MHz equivalent analog voltage signals generated by said function generator (19) based on PD waveforms actually tested by a pulse current PD detection sensor (6), an ultrasound PD detection sensor (12,13) and a UHF PD detection sensor (9) into mainframes of a pulse current PD detector, an ultrasound PD detector and a UHF PD detector respectively. The advantages are that the test method is universalized and standardized, the test result is reproducible and measurable, the application scope of the test object is wide, and the test content is comprehensive.

The apparatus comprises a timestamp correction module configured to make at least one network delay between the OLT and the at least one ONU of the PON equivalent to an equivalent path delay, wherein the timestamp correction module, through the PON, makes the at least one ONU responsible for modifying the timestamp in at least one PTP packet from the OLT, so that a slave clock at the backend of the at least one ONU is equivalent to synchronizing with a virtual master clock. The disclosure computes and corrects PTP commands so that the PTP clock at an ONU's backend may synchronize precisely with the master clock at an OLT's front end.
