Abstract: An apparatus and method for determining an optimal energy window for optimal positron emission tomography (PET) is disclosed. An optimal energy window determining apparatus may include a data corrector configured to correct data measured from an image quality phantom, an image quality measurer configured to measure an image quality for the corrected data, and an optimal energy window determiner configured to determine the optimal energy window based on the measured image quality. The data corrector may correct the measured data based on a difference between sensitivities measured using different radiopharmaceuticals in at least one energy window.

Abstract: A heterojunction solar cell with an epitaxial silicon thin film and a method for preparing the same are revealed. Low-cost upgraded metallurgical grade silicon (UMG-Si) wafers have been used as the substrates to manufacture solar cells so as to reduce the amount of high-purity silicon materials used. First an epitaxial silicon thin film is disposed over a UMG-Si wafer. Then other layers such as an amorphous silicon thin film, a transparent conductive film, etc. are arranged to form a solar cell having heterojunction with an intrinsic thin-layer (HIT) structure. Due to reduce in using high-purity silicon materials, the manufacturing cost of the heterojunction solar cell with an epitaxial silicon thin film is significantly decreased.

Abstract: A depth map aligning method and a system are provided. The depth map aligning method includes the following steps. A view warping is performed to a left-view image and a right-view image of a real-view image according to a corresponding depth map to obtain a right-virtual view image, a left hole information, and a right hole information thereof. A residual difference of pixel, which is not a hole, is obtained by pixel to pixel. If the residual difference of the pixel is larger than a first threshold value, a reverse warping is performed to obtain a coordinate of the pixel. The depth value of the pixel is aligned according to the depth value of one or more pixels in a vicinity of the obtained coordinate.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to lenses, devices, methods and/or systems for addressing refractive error. Certain embodiments are directed to changing or controlling the wavefront of the light entering a human eye. Abstract: A method of manufacturing a hydrophobic antifouling coating material, including: (a) mixing a sol-gel precursor, water, an aqueous colloidal silica suspension, and a catalyst to perform a sol-gel reaction to form a solution having particles therein, wherein the sol-gel reaction is performed without addition of any organic solvent; (b) chemically modifying the particles with a hydrophobic agent to form surface-modified particles; and (c) adding a surfactant to the solution containing the surface-modified particles to form a hydrophobic antifouling coating material. The hydrophobic antifouling coating material can be dispersed in an aqueous solution, and has properties such as low VOC (Volatile organic compound) value, high solid content, and high stability.
