Abstract: The present disclosure provides a suspension of a solid catalyst component used in propylene polymerization and a method for preparing the same. The suspension includes the solid catalyst component and a liquid medium containing propylene and an alkane, and is preferably prepared by mixing the solid catalyst component and the alkane to obtain a mixed slurry, which is further mixed with liquid propylene. Using of a proper liquid dispersing agent at a proper proportion and amount enables the solid catalyst component to be more homogeneously dispersed, thus preventing the phenomenon of agglomeration in the polymerization process without using a large amount of the dispersing agent or any additional mixer. The present disclosure further provides a method of propylene polymerization, including feeding the suspension into a reaction system of propylene polymerization, wherein propylene polymerization is initiated under polymerization conditions.

  • Publication number: 20150158737
Abstract: The present invention relates to polycrystalline gallium-doped zinc oxide of which the power factor is improved due to increased gallium doping of same. Despite having a high carrier concentration, the Seebeck coefficient of Zn0.985Ga0.015O is higher than that of Zn0.990Ga0.010O, and this arises because of the effect of the density-of-states (DOS) effective mass. A steady increase in compression stress following gallium substitution occurs in the base portion of the conduction band DOS. The solubility limit of gallium in the zinc oxide matrix is increased because a low firing temperature accelerates chemical compression. Single phase n-type Zn0.985Ga0.015O exhibits a power factor of 12.5 ?Wcm?1K?2.

  • Patent number: 9053937
Abstract: Provided is a semiconductor device using a p-type oxide semiconductor layer and a method of manufacturing the same. The device includes the p-type oxide layer formed of at least one oxide selected from the group consisting of a copper(Cu)-containing copper monoxide, a tin(Sn)-containing tin monoxide, a copper tin oxide containing a Cu—Sn alloy, and a nickel tin oxide containing a Ni—Sn alloy. Thus, transparent or opaque devices are easily developed using the p-type oxide layer. Since an oxide layer that is formed using a low-temperature process is applied to a semiconductor device, the manufacturing process of the semiconductor device is simplified and manufacturing costs may be reduced.

  • Patent number: 9054485
Abstract: A laser driver circuit compensates for non-linear behavior of Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser (VCSEL) devices. A VCSEL has an internal parasitic capacitance that is charged while the VCSEL is on. When the VCSEL turns off, this internal parasitic capacitor discharges, keeping the VCSEL on longer, increasing the physical turn-off or fall time. The laser driver circuit compensates for the slower fall time by modulating both anode and cathode terminals of the VCSEL as the VCSEL is turned on and off. Both plates of the internal parasitic capacitor are discharged at turn off, cutting the parasitic discharge time in half. A cathode driver transistor modulates the cathode voltage while a source-follower transistor modulates the anode voltage. A modulating current may be switched using a current mirror structure. Multiple source-follower transistors may be selectable in parallel, with switches to select the total anode current, allowing for programmable compensation of the fall time.

  • Patent number: 9054585
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure relate to a low drop diode equivalent circuit. Piezoelectric device based vibration energy harvesting requires a rectifier for conversion of input ac to usable dc form. Power loss due to diode drop in rectifier is a significant fraction of the already low levels of harvested power. The low-drop-diode equivalent can replace the rectifier diodes and minimize power loss. The diode equivalent mimics a diode using linear region operated MOSFET. The diode equivalent is powered directly from input signal and requires no additional power supply for its control. Power used by the control circuit is kept at a value which gives an overall output power improvement. The diode equivalent replaces the four diodes in a full wave bridge rectifier, which is the basic full-wave rectifier and is a part of the more advanced rectifiers like switch-only and bias-flip rectifiers.
