    Abstract: Provided is a catalytic combustible gas sensor using a porous membrane embedded micro-heater and a micro electro mechanical system (MEMS) technology. The present disclosure provides a gas sensor that is structurally, mechanically, and electrically stable, and has a simple device fabrication process in a MEMS catalytic combustible gas sensor that is miniaturized and also consumes a significantly small amount of power by puncturing a plurality of holes in membranes, a heating resistor, and a sensing electrode, by etching and thereby thermally isolating a substrate by a predetermined thickness through the plurality of holes, and by including a sensing structure formed using a sensing material and a compensation structure formed using a compensation material.

    Abstract: Provided is a novel assessment method for stroke and cerebral infarction (in particular, asymptomatic cerebral infarction) without any burden on a subject to be tested. It is newly found that the content of 3-HPMA, which is a metabolite of acrolein, in a urine specimen decreases in a stroke patient as compared to a healthy subject without history of stroke, irrespective of smoking habits and gender, which is quite different from the result expected from a conventional finding. Thus, an assessment method for stroke and/or cerebral infarction, including using 3-HPMA in a urine specimen as an indicator, is completed.

The control signal received by each downstream dispatch engine comprises dispatch signals transmitted by the upstream dispatch engine. The endpoints further include electric power-consuming loads. A suitable load controller comprises separate power interface and logic elements operatively connected to define the load controller, with the logic element powered by low voltage DC power received from the power interface element.
