Abstract: A device for capturing particles includes a gas-guiding unit, a gas-guiding unit and a mist-elimination unit. The gas-guiding unit has opposing first and second ends. The mist-elimination unit is disposed at the second end. The liquid-circulation unit, disposed under the mist-elimination unit by surrounding the gas-guiding unit, includes through holes below the gas-guiding unit by a gap. A gas containing particles enters the channel via the first end and then the mist-elimination unit via the second end. While the gas flows into the channel, the liquid in the liquid-circulation unit is inhaled into the channel via the gap to form droplets containing particles. After the droplets are captured by the mist-elimination unit, the liquid formed at the mist-elimination unit flows down into the liquid-circulation unit to reform the liquid to be further inhaled back to the channel of the gas-guiding unit via the gap.

Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions and methods for inhibiting DHHC3 palmitoyltransferase for treating cancer. Described herein, are methods of inhibiting expression or activity of programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) in a cell of a subject, e.g., a human subject, in need thereof are carried out by administering to the subject an effective amount of a palmitoyltransferase inhibitor, thereby inhibiting the expression or activity of PD-L1 in the subject. The palmitoyltransferase comprises an Asp-His-His-Cys motif (DHHC)-type protein. Exemplary DHHC-type proteins include DHHC3, DHHC5, DHHC7, and DHHC17.
Abstract: A method for producing metallic silver by electro-deposition, including electrolyzing an electrolyte solution containing Ce(NO3)3 in an anode zone and an electrolyte solution containing AgNO3 in a cathode zone by using an electrolytic cell with a specific diaphragm, wherein the electrolyte solution in the anode zone is not allowed to enter the cathode zone. After the electrolyzing is complete, the metallic silver with a high purity is obtained at the cathode, and a Ce4+-containing solution is obtained in the anode zone.

Abstract: A system that has a plurality of monitors, a control unit, a first object and a second object is provided. The second object has one or more sensors operable to generate data and is remote from the first object. The control unit is configured to determine whether a first user is positioned on a first or on a second location of the first object and display a simulation of a second user onto the plurality of monitors based on the generated data. The second user is located remote from the first user and is displayed as being positioned in a different location on the first object than the first user on the first object. The control unit is further configured to activate the one or more heat generating devices to simulate a presence of the second user being positioned in the different location on the first object.
Abstract: The present invention provides a point cloud data acquisition method and device under a situation of no GNSS signal. The method comprises: re-sampling line data acquired from a topographic map to obtain discrete line data; generating a full-second PPS pulse in a simulating manner; counting by using a distance measuring instrument, sampling the count, when it is detected that the full-second PPS pulse is received, calculating position information at a current moment; simulating a GNSS satellite protocol according to the position information at the current moment; parsing the GNSS satellite protocol by using a point cloud data acquisition module to complete time synchronization, and controlling a LiDAR to acquire point cloud data; parsing the GNSS satellite protocol by using an inertial measurement module, and recording attitude determination positioning data in real time to generate POS data; and optimizing the POS data to obtain accurate point cloud data.

Abstract: [Object] An object is to provide a brain activity analyzing method for realizing a biomarker using brain function imaging for neurological/mental disorders. [Solution] From data of resting-state functional connectivity MRI obtained by measuring groups of healthy subjects and patients, a correlation matrix of degrees of activities among prescribed brain regions is derived. By a sparse canonical correlation analysis (SCCA) of attributes of subjects and the correlation matrix, elements of correlation matrix that connect to canonical variables corresponding only to the diagnosis label are extracted. By sparse logistic regression (SLR) during Leave-One-Out Cross Validation of a first sum-set of elements of correlation matrix obtained as a result of feature extraction by a sparse regularized canonical correlation analysis, a second sum-set of elements of the correlation matrix is extracted. By discrimination analysis using sparse logistic regression on the second sum-set, a discriminator is generated.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a stage-by-stage measurement, regulation and distribution method for dynamic characteristics of multi-stage components of large-scale high-speed rotary equipment. Firstly, a single-stage rotor circular contour measurement model is established, and the circular contour measurement model is simplified by using a distance from an ith sampling point of an ellipse to a geometry center to obtain a simplified circular contour measurement model. Then, actually measured circular contour data is taken into the simplified circular contour measurement model to determine a relationship between dynamic response parameters after rotor assembly and eccentricity errors as well as the amount of unbalance of all stages of rotors. Finally, a rotor speed is set according to the relationship between the dynamic response parameters after rotor assembly and the eccentricity errors as well as the amount of unbalance of all stages of rotors to obtain a critical speed parameter objective function.

Abstract: A millimeter wave security inspection instrument debugging system and a millimeter wave security inspection instrument debugging method, which are used for debugging the imaging definition of a millimeter wave holographic imaging security inspection system.
