The optical module assembly includes an electric sub-assembly including a printed circuit board (PCB) and an electronic device mounted on the PCB and an optical module including an interposer including a transparent material, an optical sub-assembly accommodating optical components, and a cover covering an upper portion of the optical sub-assembly, wherein one end portion of the PCB is inserted into the optical sub-assembly through an inserting hole formed in a sidewall of the optical sub-assembly, and the optical components and a substrate electrode formed on a surface of the one end portion of the PCB are electrically connected to each other by the interposer.

Abstract: Systems and methods described herein relate to self-supervised scale-aware learning of camera extrinsic parameters. One embodiment processes instantaneous velocity between a target image and a context image captured by a first camera; jointly training a depth network and pose network based on scaling by the instantaneous velocity; produce depth map using the depth network; produce ego-motion of the first camera using the pose network; generate synthesized image from the target image using a reprojection operation based on the depth map, the ego-motion, the context image and camera intrinsics; determine photometric loss by comparing the synthesized image to the target image; generate photometric consistency constraint using a gradient from the photometric loss; determine pose consistency constraint between the first camera and a second camera; and optimize the photometric consistency constraint, the pose consistency constraint, the depth network and the pose network to generate estimated extrinsic parameters.

Abstract: A membrane for separating organic solvents such as methanol and toluene is provided. A plurality methacrylate polymer brushes, e.g., composed of hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) monomers or aminoethyl methacrylate (AEMA) monomers, are grafted from a crosslinked polyimide support using Single Electron Transfer-Living Radical Polymerization (SET-LRP). The polymer brushes themselves are also crosslinked by ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA), triethylene glycol dimethacryalte (TEGDMA) trimesic acid, and/or itaconic acid. These hydrophilic polymeric brush membranes demonstrate pore stiffening and yet also opening, obtaining high selectivity at reasonable permeability and reduced energy requirements for commercially relevant separations, e.g., methanol/toluene. The addition of the crosslinker prevents loss of selectivity as a result of imparting increased rigidity, enabling the membranes to be operated at higher operating pressures for increased throughput.

The skeleton includes a fixed bottom plate and an umbrella shaped tripod, which is equipped with a connecting part and an umbrella shaped part. The umbrella shaped part is set at the top of the connecting part. The umbrella shaped tripod is fixedly connected to the fixed bottom plate in the length direction, forming a semi open containment space clamp. The sealing inner lining structure includes an airtight layer and a foot rest bottom plate shaped fixed part. The underground chamber includes a concrete lining layer and a sealed lining structure. Its construction period is shorter than that of welded steel plates, and the cost is lower.

Abstract: An electrochemical artificial muscle system and an electrochemical artificial muscle testing device are provided. The electrochemical artificial muscle system includes a working electrode including a conductive yarn having a helical structure; a counter electrode containing selected metal elements; an electrolyte including an ionic liquid containing selected ions, the selected ions including the selected metal elements; where the working electrode and the counter electrode are all in contact with the electrolyte. The artificial muscle system based on an aluminum ion battery system has a contractile retention (catch state) characteristic, i.e., artificial muscle yarns contract when a voltage is applied, and after the voltage is removed, the contraction state of the artificial muscle yarn is remained, within almost no any decay within 450 s.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of a method and system for converting ethanol to para-xylene. The method also provides a pathway to produce terephthalic acid from biomass-based feedstocks. In some embodiments, the disclosed method produces p-xylene with high selectivity over other aromatics typically produced in the conversion of ethanol to xylenes, such as m-xylene, ethyl benzene, benzene, toluene, and the like. And, in some embodiments, the method facilitates the ability to use ortho/para mixtures of methylbenzyaldehyde for preparing ortho/para xylene product mixtures that are amendable to fractionation to separate the para- and ortho-xylene products thereby providing a pure feedstock of para-xylene that can be used to form terephthalic anhydride and a pure feedstock of ortho-xylene that can be used for other purposes, such as phthalic anhydride.
Abstract: A method for quantifying a structural feature forecast error of a meteorological element based on a graphical similarity is based on the concept of graphical similarity to propose a normalized evaluation technique for a forecast error of a scalar meteorological element such as rainfall, radar reflectivity, temperature, visibility, or wind speed. The method can objectively and truly reflect the true capability of forecasting the meteorological element such as precipitation.
