Abstract: Fibers of square cross sections are presented in the invention. The square fiber leads to higher packing density and results in higher wind resistance in fabrics as compared to the conventional round fibers and other polygonal fibers. Therefore, the square fiber is more suitable for manufacture of the windproof clothing. In addition, the square fibers exhibit higher luster than the round fibers and other polygonal fibers due to the flat and shiny fiber surface.

Abstract: Provided is an apparatus and method for communicating data in a hybrid diversity mode in a broadband wireless communication system. In a method for transmitting data to a subscriber station (SS) in the broadband wireless communication system, null subbands are determined using feedback information received from the SS. TX data to be transmitted to the SS are mapped to a diversity zone from which the null subbands has been excluded. The mapped data are OFDM-modulated and transmitted to the SS. In this way, frequency subbands with poor channel conditions are excluded from data transmission. Accordingly, it is possible to enhance the FER performance and transmit data at a high MCS level.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a heat dissipating apparatus having micro-structure layer and method for fabricating the same. The method provides two highly heat conductive members having structure patterns. A highly heat conductive material is coated on the structured patterns by means of injection molding for forming a micro-structure layer. The two highly heat conductive members are assembled to form a heat dissipating apparatus having micro-structure layer. The heat dissipating apparatus comprises a main body composed of the highly heat conductive members. The main body forms an accommodating cavity, and inner surfaces of the accommodating cavity form the micro-structure layer. A working fluid is filled into the accommodating cavity for transferring heat from a heat absorbing surface to a heat dissipating surface.

Abstract: Fibroblast growth factor 5 (FGF-5) has a function of inhibiting hair growth and thereby shifting hair cycle of hair matrix cells from the growing stage to the regression stage. Extracts obtained by extraction preferably from rose fruit, loquat, burnet, bearberry, mate, cat's claw, mugwort, Uncaria rhynchophylla, tea and brown algae with water or a solvent other than water have an activity of inhibiting the function of FGF-5. Therefore, a hair growth stimulant and a cosmetic containing one or more kinds of the above extracts contain ingredients capable of maintaining proliferation of hair matrix cells and directly promoting hair growth, so that they exert excellent hair growth-stimulating and hair-nourishing effects based on the hair cycle control mechanism of FGF-5.
