  • Publication number: 20210040478
Abstract: The present invention provides methods for retaining and expressing physiologically active substances in a target tissue-specific-manner, by administering the physiologically active substances to target submucous tissue. Specifically, the present inventors demonstrated that, when physiologically active substances were directly administered into submucous tissues without using a carrier, the physiologically active substances were effectively and safely retained at the administration sites over long periods without loss and diffusion, and produced the effect acting in a reservoir-like fashion. The physiologically active substances administered as described above were demonstrated to produce the therapeutic effect without having an influence on organs other than the administered organ.

  • Publication number: 20210043761
Abstract: A detector based on a gallium nitride-based enhancement-mode device and a manufacturing method thereof. The detector is a gas or solution detector. When the detector is used in electrolyte solution detection, electrolyte solution is located in the gate opening region and directly contacts the thin barrier layer to form a contact interface. The electrolyte solution affects interface charges at the contact interface, leading to a change in a concentration of the two-dimensional electron gas, and further a change in a current between the source and the drain. When the detector is used in a hydrogen-containing gas detection, the H concentration of the hydrogen-containing gas affects interface charges at the contact interface between the gate and the thin barrier layer, leading to a change in a concentration of the two-dimensional electron gas, and further a change in the current between the source and the drain.

  • Publication number: 20210038143
Abstract: A method of detecting the likelihood of a seizure event in a patient includes at successive expirations of a first time interval, determining a first likelihood that the patient is experiencing a seizure based on electrodermal activity and a movement of a limb of the patient. The method also includes at successive expirations of a second time interval, determining whether the patient experienced a seizure in a second time period preceding the determining based on a heart rate of the patient. In response to determining that the third comparison result satisfies at least a third detection criterion, the method compares electrodermal activity and the movement of a limb of the patient to determine a second likelihood. In response to determining that the second likelihood satisfies a second detection criterion, the method triggers presentation of a second alert regarding a potential seizure.
